.. Huh. The game wants me to download the 1.2 update before I can get back online.
Problem is it isn't on the store here.

I just played Brawl's basic brawl a lot and learned some tips by fighting a player called Espy he's one of the best Sonic players in the country.

Ahh, I see. Well, mechanically this game is probably a lot closer to Brawl than Melee huh?

I'm pretty sure I've watched clips of Espy, or heard his name in the SSB scene - that's awesome.
 
Think I found a trophy error? In the Bubble trophy from Zelda, it mentions how "in Brawl they'd leave a curse on anyone who touched them," yet they weren't in that game...?

Yeah, I've had mostly good experiences. A couple of annoying input lagfests, but mostly smooth 'n' playable. And the matching system is nice, because once you find someone with a good connection you can just play them over and over instead of being paired with someone else each time.
 
Um...since when did Tingle have a cobra on the back of his shirt?

Look at his trophy. I've never noticed that.

Haha thanks man. This game is a blast, I'm forcing myself to play with everyone, you never know you could find yourself good with :)

All I've got left on the first Challenge Board (sooo easy, took me an hour to do!) is 3 Custom Outfits.

I can't seem to get any, dammit. Will playing as the Mii Fighters make them appear more commonly?
 
Loving the game, but I have to stop playing, the circle pad is giving my thumb major cramps (using an XL). I have never had this issue before with any 3DS games, it's entirely unique to Smash. How much would a grip help?
 
Thought: Duck Hunt Doge doesn't seem well-tuned for 3DS. The camera treats his can as a player so the screen can end up zooming way the fuck out if it ends up away from the fighters. And then I can't see shit.
 
maaaaaaaaan I just spent the entire day playing and napping. Want to repeat the same tomorrow, but I gotta catch up on my work/writing.

Hope my USB connector comes soon so I can play with you all!
 
So I was going to get the game after work today but things came up and I put it off until later. I'm at our local Best Buy and it's 8:45pm, store is getting ready to close, shelves for Smash are empty. This is the first time I can think of since OG Wii launch of where our Best Buy has sold out every copy/unit of a Nintendo item day one. I call both of our GameStop stores, sold out. Target, sold out. No point in calling KMart as they probably would've been sold out too and were all the way across town and they close at 9pm also. I call Walmart which is nearby, "We sold our last copy at 4am this morning." Wow.

Out of desperation I go to the Best Buy customer service desk and ask if they have any stray copies left. The girl looks at me kind of confused and says, "Smash Bros 3D? There should copies on the shelf right now." Me: "Oh really? I checked and unfortunately there's none there." Girl calls to back of the store, "We have any copies of Smash Bros left? Ok...thanks (puts down phone). Another shipment of 50 copies just arrived, someone will bring you one right now." Scored a copy ten minutes before closing at the last known place in town to have the game available today, feels good.
