Distant Planet is a freaking horrible stage. I didn't like it in Brawl, but it is just so terrible on 3DS. I can't see anything.

Yeah the menu structure really bugs me. Classic should be up front instead of Challenges, which could go in Vault which itself should be more prominent too.

I didn't use it for much other than recovery in Brawl. The default one in this game is worse for that though.
Complete every challenge on the first challenge board.

Just go do 100 Man Smash and pick Donkey Kong or Bowser and spam dash attacks.

Played a bit earlier. I'm on a fiber connection. Only had 1 lag free match with nothing else really going on on my network.
So far my impressions of the netcode are not good.
No way. Best way to do any multi-man melee other than cruel smash is to use your character's up-tilt on one of the 3 platforms. Spam it over and over. 1-hit-KOs them all as they fall on you for most characters.
If up tilt doesn't work, then up smash will. Link, toon link, greninja, and a few others have FANTASTIC up tilts.
because the solo stuff has a set of rules by itself, like the classic mode you have to beat the classcit mode on any difficulty with just 2 stock on any battle.
because what would be the point of the difficulty if you could just raise the stock?
EDIT: I just read it again, yes, you can set a higher difficulty at the start of the mode
with the gold I have when starting, which is still ridiculous. I should just be able to pick Hard Mode like all the other Smashes.
Are you talking about classic where you follow the map? Just bet more coins.
Holy shit, is the online lag in this game unbearable for everyone else? For three matches in a row it's been an unplayable mess. If it's because I'm being matched up with people around the world, why isn't there an option to only be matched up against people in my region (most Wii and DS games had this option)? Looks like this is yet another Smash game where online against randoms is broken.

Either way this is the easiest way to unlock Wario.
Unfortunately being a 3ds game that appeals to everyone, you're probably going to run into crappy connects.
Donkey Kong's down special is the best method.

So after experimenting, you can get all character in Classic and I confirmed 11 ways. I have no clue why Wario's unlock condition is so hard in Classic.

That one guy COMPLETELY over exaggerated about how slow Pac-Man supposedly was.
Peach is pretty damn good actually. Back and and forward air are great, and her down smash sucks in the opponent again, but still not as good as melee. Her up air is different, but has a huge, long arching hit-box that can catch air dodgers on the way down. She can combo into forward air from down-throw and dash attack at low percents. She's looking pretty good, but I literally just started playing 3 hours ago.
I unlocked Wario during my second classic run through level 8.1 with Peach. I died twice and still unlocked him while finishing with 7.1. I did fight Master, and Crazy hand, then that weird black cloud thing though.

To get Bowser Jr. from Classic, you need to beat it with Bowser at 7.0 or higher. I recommend just going in at 9.0. If you take the easy paths, you can easily get to Master Core without dying, and you will have multiple chances at him.

How do you know you aren't the problem?
Welp, so far the only stage that the small screen has made worse for me is Distant Planet. Can't see shit. Other than that, it plays pretty well. Enjoying the game a lot so far, just unlocked Dark Pit. nothing personnel.

beating classic mode on difficulty 4.5 with Little Mac
