Uh, I unlocked Mr. Game & Watch but the stage didn't unlock? Are there any other unlock conditions? I think I'm missing two stages as well.

You need to unlock the second page of the Challenge Board first. I don't know if there are other requirements beyond getting to page 2 and unlocking Mr. G&W but yeah.

Postman came just as a I beat Xenoblade. It must be fate.

While I was waiting in line at Nintendo World, I beat the final Golden Temple level in DKCR3D. Additionally, upon completing that level, I had obtained 100% of the puzzle pieces in the game.

Once that was done, I shifted around the icons on my 3DS homescreen to put DKCR3D in my completed games folder and created an open spot for Smash.

And then I began playing local multiplayer with the people in line around me.

Smash has showed it more than any game thus far. The slider pad is slippery as hell. Any DIY ideas for adding some grip to it? I use cleaning alcohol at home, but obviously I won't carry it around when out and about.
I thought about sanding paper, but I'd rather use something that has some sort of not-too-strong adhesive on its own, rather than using superglue or something.

The unlocks seem kinda random. I went straight to Classic mode and played it a bunch, unlocked Ganondorf first, then Falco, then Dark Pit, then Ness.

Music is great - use headphones. The system speakers cut a lot of the low and high notes/instruments out.
