Man, I still suck at this game but Lucina's counter move is gorgeous. So satisfying to pull off online.
Also, I see people are just posting their FC's here, so I guess I'll add in mine.

I'll try and add some people when I have s'more time. This thread moves too fast for me. (Oh yeah and PM me if you do add me, otherwise I'm not gonna have a clue.)
They did also get the physical copies. In that case it was a matter of the MK8 was not sent out until Friday so as a result nobody had it on Friday. They gave out the eShop codes late that day.
I'm not sure if Yodel trying on Thursday and not be arsed to try again until Monday is really the same as they though but it is more an example that they have gone the extra mile before.
Yeah this is more a case of me just not being in when they tried to deliver, and to be fair the order on the Nintendo site says 'On or before 6th October'. Just a bit miffed that I could have it now but I don't.

You have my sincere sympathies. I'll challenge you to an empathy-match once you get your copy, too. I haven't played Smash in years so my skills are rusty, which means that you will probably win. Hopefully imagining this makes you feel a bit better.
Played my first set online (with lag). Only lost when I picked Villager and the other guy picked Mario/Doc, but then murdered him with Bowser and Pikachu.
I've played Smash since Melee and legitimately didn't know you could use the C stick for Smashes until a few weeks ago. Pretty glad that I'm so used to the buttons now.
It's pretty much a requirement if you want to move in one direction and do aerials in the opposite direction though. Or being able to do fair/bair without accidentally moving forward or back. I think some characters like Shulk and Robin will benefit a lot from it once the Wii U version comes out.
I played until 3:30am last night. Even though I had to be at work at 6:00am.
So far I've unlocked Falco, Ness, Wario and Lucina.
I love it so far. Especially the improvements to ZS Samus. Palutena is surprisingly really fun to play as. Pac man and Rosalina are a bit difficult for me.
Game is fantastic for commute gaming. Match lengths are just right and the game is a lot of fun. I find this to be much more pick up and play friendly than Brawl so far.
I need to find the list of character unlockables so I can start working my way down.
I was just spectating a 4 player timed game and at some point everyone just started killing themselves, running to the left and falling off. Over and over. Is there some kind of achievement for this or is this the new meta?
Managed to beat Classic 9.0 yesterday after all with Cpt. Falcon. It was close as fuck at several points but for once I prevailed.
Did some of that target bombing next and got some decent results there. Afterwards did quite a bunch of Home Run attempts and got like 2.270 with Ganon.
I think I got all character unlocked now and most of the single player content 'beat'. Now I could try to learn all characters but am not in the mood for that, so all that's really left will be online from hereon, though that should be good if there aren't many connection issues.
Just skimmed and caught up on the last 30 pages with a wide grin plastered on my face, seeing all the hype and excitement. I'm so excited for you guys. While I'm obviously glad I got a review copy two weeks early, part of me wishes I'd been able to join in the release day hype and get it along with you guys; there's nothing quite like that part of the hype cycle!
Still, now that it's out I'm really excited to play with ya'll! I gotta go through and cull my 3DS friends list so I can add my Friend Code to the doc and get in on some SmashGAF action.
I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised; I just got through playing some online matches and I had a great connection with almost zero lag despite the game just having come out. Hell, those were maybe the smoothest online matches I've played yet, pre-release review period included. Nintendo must have seriously prepared their servers for Smash. It's nice to see!
Oric, you taught me to step my game up and get some practice in before tuesday because you were killing it these rounds. That mario finish back on the kirby stage. haha Good games!
Uh, I was just playing All-Star mode and Smash Bros. crashed on me. It threw me to the main menu and said "An error occurred and we must force the software to close. Restarting the system. (Unsaved data may be lost.)"
Trophy Rush, by far. 900 gold gets you two minutes and 30 seconds, which is enough to get around 28-32 trophies each run once you know what you're doing and find characters that really work for you in that mode. Personally I've found Ness and Jigglypuff to be my Trophy Rush mainstays; they both have amazing forward and back airs that destroy lots of boxes at once, and Ness's up smash activates chains and destroys things above AND to both sides of him. Kirby's pretty good for Trophy Rush as well.
