I played classic with Robin, and it got me the thing for Ness but I lost cuz I'm not used to controlling her, so I went back and played it with Link, who I'm more used to. But that time I unlocked Falco instead. I'm going through with Bowser now.

I can't believe they cut out Murabito, Reflet, and Rosetta in the US release.

I don't even want to know what they did to Black Pit.

I'm just starting to accept input lag as something that's just gonna be there always and it bums me out

over 40 matches and all had around the same amount of input lag

is anyone seriously playing with the same feedback as against the CPU?

Wrong recovery :( but that was a good match

On some occasions it feels pretty close, but never exact. There are times it'll just miss my button presses entirely

After 120 matches.. what is your (short) opinion of the game?

A few scattered thoughts:

- On the whole, combat feels much better than Brawl. Now, I've never been one to dump on Brawl - when it came out, I set aside Melee and never looked back, and have been totally satisfied with Brawl for 6 years. But something about Smash 4 just feels...better. Moves feel more powerful in general.
- Luigi, my main, feels amazing. This might be his best game yet.
- I'm really liking Shulk. I haven't quite got Monado Arts figured out yet, but I'll definitely be putting more time in with him.
- While the stage selection leaves a little to be desired, it's better than it looked at first. None of the stages are really awful, and the Omega variants make things a little more interesting.
- The music is kickass.
- Remember how when we first started playing, it felt like people took forever to die? That's becoming less and less of a problem. I'm starting to get the timing down for all my moves, and am getting more confident/competent at chasing people offstage. I was wrapping up 1-stock matches in 40-60 seconds.
- Up tilt > up tilt > up tilt > up smash. Lv. 9s fall for it every time.

I "unlocked" dark pit using bowser but i feel like such a moron; i lost to him too. I think I gotta get used to the controls or something.

If you lose to a new character you try to unlock via classic, you can fight him/her/it again after a single Smash match vs. the CPUs. You don't need to go through another round of classic.

Indeed beating Classic as that mutt unlocks Mr. Watch. May have to be 5.0.

Yep, that is how I have done it.

Ah, now I feel even dumber. I'll do this instead, thank you for telling me!

Oric, you taught me to step my game up and get some practice in before tuesday because you were killing it these rounds. That mario finish back on the kirby stage. haha Good games!
