My GameStop is only having a midnight opening for call of duty

Mine is weak like that too. I found one in the next city over though. Worth the drive to me.

If not that though, I'd be hitting up all the 24-hour big box retailers I can find. That is, every Wal*Mart I can find. Had to go to 3 or 4 to get Pokemon X at midnight, finally found it like two hours later at a K-Mart.

I would try to go to a midnight event. But I'd probably just fall asleep somewhere. Been up for a while already today.

I'm already pretty tired too. I love the excitement of midnight launches though. Everyone there will be hyped up about the same thing, and this time most will probably have the demo to play too. Even if I'm too dead sleepy by the time I get home, that few minutes of glory when I play it the first time will be worth it

How does downloading a patch before owning the actual game work?

Go onto the eShop and search for the word update and download like you would wanything else.

It is also on the new arrivals tabs.

Weirdly enough it is not on the game page. Which is where it "should" be.

One thing I must admit I find disappointing is the lack of handheld homages in Smash 3DS. I expected it to be a love letter to Nintendo handheld gaming, and while there are some great references and homages, it still fills a bit lacking. I mean look at the stage list. For Zelda we get Spirit Tracks and Gerudo Valley. While these are good levels, why not something from Link's Awakening? Or the Oracle games? The weather could change throughout the battle, THIS WRITES ITSELF. Wario Land is completely ignored, and while we get a cool looking Game Boy stage, it's just Kirby's Dream Land. Most of the handheld only references are from very recent games like Tomodachi Life, New Leaf, Find Mii, New Super Mario Bros. 2. I know it's easy to just pull stuff from 3DS games, but I feel like so much is ignored. I have probably bought more handheld games than console games in my life, so I was hoping we could get some really cool inclusions.

Yeah, and there's not a thread of Golden Sun in the this game at all, and that series got a Assist Trophy (Isaac), regular trophy, and one song in Brawl. The series has been handheld exclusive so far.

Maybe we'll get something on Wii U or heehee

. I'd hate to think Sakurai just ditched everything Golden Sun/Ougon no Taiyo related just cause he didn't care for it.

Series isn't that popular anymore, but many series represented in Smash can hardly say they sold over 700k copies in North America alone at their prime like Golden Sun can.

Not all walmarts got their shipment already and sometimes at that hour they can have issues pulling from the back.

Screw it, I'm going physical. I'm all about digital these days, but I'd like the option to loan this to friends. And if I wreck my Circle Pad, I'd like to keep playing on my backup 3DS. I have enough slots in my case for it. It'll also be nice seeing its box next to the WiiU version's box.
