I'm not sure whether this works, but you could maybe do the "add necessary funds" thing with another $40 game on the eShop and then back out of the purchase? Anyone know if this works?

This gifs are always awesome. You have to do one when there's like, 10 minutes left for release, hah. Geez, I can't believe we're just hours away to play this. I've been avoiding streams and footage for the most part so the hype is just spot on right now! Me and (hopefully) my circle pad are ready!

It's so good seeing this too. I did see some loose inspiration for her moves in the boss battle though. I'm fine with her being this anti-air type character in Smash though.

I had luck at a German Media Markt yesterday, but I didn't have much time to play yet.
I can see myself putting a huge amount of time into the stadium at this point. Exactly right for short amounts of time. And to even think about getting all the customizable stuff for the Wii U release.. Puh.
Only characters I played up to now are Pac-Man (slow, but I like him - but that has to be the worst grab), Falcon (seems faster than Brawl?!) and Villager (not my cup of tea - seems... weird).

We use US eShop, so we follow US timezone for releases. Thankfully EST is just a 12 hour difference so it's easy to accommodate. Now, EDT...

Eh, it might be friday when it drops on the eshop for you then man.
I have cousins in Bohol (if you're in manilla i'm assuming) waiting to grab smash via eshop out there, so you still have about... um, i'm guessing 18 hours or so since i'm here in LA and we get it at 9 pm PST.

Honestly, I think it'll take folks an hour to 2 before the download completes for most in the US.
I'm hoping for about an hour for me. I'm having some company over to play smash while we wait but I think me and a buddy will be downloading off my internet so...yeah.

You can bet your ass the eShop download rate will drop significantly a few minutes after Smash is up to download.
It's one of the lesser reasons I opted for retail this time.

That was true in Brawl as well, but I've beaten Classic and All-Star with about 32 characters now and he's the only character I've had to drop All-Star down to Easy for just to get through without it being a headache. I'd get through on Normal eventually, but I've already lost a couple times and I just don't want to deal with Lucario's weak-ass launches when he's at low percents.
Palutena's is definitely "Black Hole + Mega Laser." I don't know about Duck Hunt's. I've heard Mega Man's is "Mega Man Legends," but that might just have been made up by a fan. It would be appropriate, though!

At least I figured out a relatively easy trick for getting two and four KOs in Cruel Melee: use Marth, Ike, or anyone with a counter, spam that baby (with moderately good timing), and hope for the best. I was able to cheese out five KOs after about 10 minutes of trying.
Also, Andre just found a good trick for getting 100 combos with a character + 400 combos across all characters in Training: spawn four Smart Bombs and chuck them all one after another. That's an easy 120 or so combo right there!
