I'm really excited for DLC after what MK8 and Hyrule Warriors have done.
Probably sans the Ice Climbers due to technical reasons, unless Sakurai went back on his word & they're Wii U-only.

Well, while I can't relate, I think that's a perfectly valid reason to dislike it.
I identify with Earthbound's humor and tone on a personal level, so of course I'm into it.
If the cult, evangelist vibe around the game turned you off, that's a shame. Maybe it'll click with you down the road or maybe it's just not for you and people should respect that.
Lucas, Wolf, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Roy, Pichu, & Snake only make up 7.
8 counting the Ice Climbers.

I've never had any trouble with Amazon getting games to me on release date, even when it says it ships early the morning before. However, all you guys are starting to make me paranoid. Smash Fever has taken me over!

I played Earthbound when I was like ten and I beat up Onett's entire police force without batting an eye.
Then I was playing it on the VC last summer, got up to that exact point, realized what I was doing, and thoroughly laughed my ass off.
That's Earthbound for me. Itoi's essay when the VC edition came out really puts the game into perspective, I believe.

Okay. Seems Yoshi will be the new Samus in this game thus far. All it took was a little posture.

The only thing we know is the text dump has something where you can download stages and it mentions an in-store option in the future. Everything else is speculation. That being said, stage DLC will most likely happen since money.

I'm surprised the Wii U release kept the Shark's Yes Man overworld sprite as is.
In battle, you can see they're based off the Shocker Grunts from Kamen Rider, but on the overworld they look way too close to old-school black caricatures.

Also, even if it wasn't proven to be fake by Vaanrose's post history, from what I can tell, Vaanrose is very good in writing, so I doubt he'd make so many really stupid typos.

As a Olimar main as well, it they don't fix that I'm sticking to using him in the Wii U version only.

I wonder that too. If it's not been processed yet, then there's still apparently time to just cancel it and plan on digital download or brick and mortar. I mean unless there some Amazon preorder discount I missed.
I ended up canceling my Newegg preorder with the 5 dollars off just because I don't think waiting five more days is worth saving 5 dollars.

I guess since they've got patches Sakurai can be a bit more loose with not carefully checking every single bug out.

not really a glitch, but those chaingrabs/tilt locks were definitely annoying!

There were a lot, but they were pretty situational/useless for the most part.
