Thanks. What I mean by the second question is say I have all the characters unlocked but my friend only has half. If I'm the host of the match on 3DS, can he use the characters I've unlocked or does he have to unlock them himself to use them?

No problem.
I don't have the game, so I'm taking a guess that your friend would need to unlock them himself to use them.
I have seen some streams where some people still haven't unlocked a stage yet and they can't select even when doing online matches, so I think that applies to characters as well for local play.

Sorry if this has been posted but how do I play online? Are the EU matchmaking servers not up? I'm on a UK 3DS with a UK copy and my system is up to date but the game gives me Error 002-0120 and says a newer version of this software is required but I can't find a patch on the eShop

Ok. I restarted like 3 times (going into the eshop to check, going back into game to see if it was a mistake or something) and now, on the 3DS home screen there is the option to update it. Weird. Thanks for telling me. It wasn't showing up before but I kept restarting and then it did.

I have seen people ask if the "blue boxed games" would work on the Wii. Nintendo did a terrible job with marketing the device. It is going to be an even bigger mess with "New 3DS" and "New 3DS XL"

Hehe, I think the half successor/half revision thing bothers me too. Probably part of the reason the name irks me.

You might need to reboot the 3DS a few times or sit on the home screen or go into the eshop, sit on the home screen and hover over the cart slot. It should eventually come with a promt to go to the eshop to update.

Japanese tier lists are just taking everything as it is by now. Way too early for this stuff.

That said I can imagine some of the spots aren't too far off from where they'll eventually end up.

Just had a few matches (for fun). Some of the matches had super bad lag, one or 2 was ok and somoe had really bad lag at the start that went away (not completely though) after a while. Hope matches in For Glory 1 on 1 are better. It sucks there isn't a 1 on 1 "For Fun" mode. I would like to play on the stages and with items and have a better chance at a good connection with a 1-on-1 game rather than being forced into matches with 4 people.

Anyone up for some matches (UK here)? I've not got the best internet but I don't think it's bad enough to ruin matches (though we'll need to see). 3DS FC: 5155-2898-0702 NNID: Zomba13 (for potential future Wii U matches).

I can't wait for the Wii U version. The 3DS one is destroying my thumbs. It's better if I play with the circle pad addon but it makes it harder to hit the shoulder buttons.

I want to pre-order for midnight launch since on Thursday it may be hard to get a copy. Plus Walmart is right next to Gamestop. The gas I would save not at least checking it out would be like 5 cents.
