So what exactly is that rank based on? I imagine it's usage or tournament related, so I'm not surprised that Shulk is bottom right now just because all indications point to him being the trickiest character to learn well

Well, that explains that. I haven't ordered it yet because I was seeing if anybody else here had any luck getting it from Walmart early.
Like everyday whenever I'm commuting to work. Sometimes when I'm home while waiting for online matches in MK8. Can't really get enough of it especially since I'm playing it on my recently purchased XL.
I'm about 50 hours on it.

Just got my copyyyy!!! I literally feel like the next 3 hours are going to be torture because although I picked it up, I'll only be home a bit later. Also snagged a copy for my brother so tonight my full Smash 4 experience begins.

Gameplay's great so far, but I've got serious problems with lags when playing online. So, I started playing solo instead. Single player is decent, but it feels like they've cut any single player content that takes some time to design. No adventure mode, no story mode, no mission mode, no real Target Smash. It does feel a little barebones coming after Brawl. The new Target Smash in particular is a huge letdown for me, I loved the old one.

Yep, 12 AM EST/9 PM PST. It is 2.4 GB, so depending on your internet it will probably take 20 to 90 minutes.

I preordered the game like... October 3, 2013. Had my card stolen and just completely forgot about my preorder and assumed it was a sure thing.
I. Do not. Think.
Only would have had a couple hours Thursday night to play it anyway, but that early game RUSH. Yes, we wait together.

The orders fine, basically I got an email from yesterday saying I needed to change my card details before it would ship. It's all paid for now, so hopefully with ShopTo's good record it'll ship tomorrow and arrive Friday. If I had sorted out my card it would have most likely have shipped today and arrive tomorrow.

ShopTo is fantastic for shipping. They literally package it and ship it within 10 minutes of an order, of course not pre-orders, but they're amazing.
