Not the exact words cause it was years ago but pretty much everything that was said. When he said "nah we don't have that ship" I was stunned. I couldn't believe any retailer would speak to me with that kind of tone and no other employee called him out on it. He straight up said DDR is for Japanese people with no rhythm and can't dance. Then said go upstairs to GS cause they'll tell me anything is good.

A part of me was absolutely furious but after he basically told me to go somewhere else I just thought "well there is no point in arguing or stating my peace, a guy like this isn't worth my time."

i see. still, to be fair that was some time ago but i totally understand your position. very unprofessional of any store to have employees like that.

So basically they suck at DDR because their sense of rhythm is not even close to being as good as they think it is.

That's nice to know.

This reminds me of the time with what happened to something else I pre-ordered from Amazon this year and I didn't get it on time... (aka it never went into the shipping state) and I made that pre-order months in advance, around the same amount of months I've had the 3DS version of Smash pre-ordered

I should maybe possibly consider contacting them tonight to make sure it ships on time so I can get it Friday at a reasonable hour or even get it this weekend at all.

I made it clear the order still exists, however.

I wonder if it's the same employees that work there now. I live only a few blocks from the place and used to go there (before my primary option was Amazon) cause their new games was always at least 3 dollars cheaper and they wouldn't ID me when I was still too young for M rated games.
 
None of the wireless Wi-Fi options at my campus are working for my 3DS XL, so I just purchased a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector. I had no idea those were so rare, but luckily I found one on eBay for twenty bucks.

Hope it works!

the guy on walmart told me he has 19 in stock....he says it should be in the back, currently on hold on the phone to confirm with me if i can go and buy it..
 
I am so very tempted to go at midnight to Walmart for Smash, but I do not want to get stabbed. Decisions...
Edit: At least the glitch tells us they got the game today.

You're not gonna get stabbed at a midnight launch for a game. Well, no more than you're gonna get stabbed most of the time anyway.

New hardware releases involve big ticket items. Smash Bros. will probably be readily available to anyone who will wait until morning and pay for it. I don't know why these normal psychopaths would be willing to wait that long, but I've heard some people are.

Won't happen at Wal-Mart unfortunately. I used to work there, and their registers litteraly won't let them ring something up if it's not released.

Don't wanna burst your bubble, but I also don't want you wasting time with horrible Wal-Mart service.
 
Soooo I was told that his system has 19 in stock but he has no idea where it is on the back. I asked when they might put the items in the back to the front and he said maybe today and tomorrow. However, he didnt leave me on blank and told me to call another store nearby that the system says might also have copies, so im calling there now. However, again sounded like someone clueless, and if he would have found the '19 in stock' he would have told me. He even said that 'who knows maybe they have all been sold by now and the system has not been updated yet". Yep, clueless, regardless it seems like tomorrow there will be even more chances to snag this game, and Walmart right now seems like a place to try your luck, i am now going to call the other store he gave me

I just remembered. To the man's credit he praised Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and wondered why I wasn't asking for that. Jungle Beat was one of my favorite anything ever but I didn't want to agree with him with anything.

Most likely just an automatic site update now that it's Tuesday. Pretty much every Wal-Mart employee and manager thinks games come out on Tuesday with no exceptions.

You can try your best and hope there's a glitch in the system, but 99% of the time you're just going to get caught up in their left hand not listening to the right hand ways.
 
For anyone who lives in the Inland Empire (or is willing to drive to Chino), GameER might have it in today. I just called them, and the guy said he's talking to his boss about their shipment coming in today. He said to call back in 30 min.

it happens, when iam winning the first match with shulk. i havent tried it yet with another character, but now iam going to try it out :/
