Maybe they can patch in some more colors of Olimar and Wario. This 8 costume rule (that Little Mac didn't follow) really hurt those two. I wouldn't give up Alph either, I like the idea there, but I would have liked Olimar and Alph to both have 8 costumes. Same for each of Wario's styles.

Updating my tier list speculation. I'm sorry it's such a small list. I play all of the characters regularly, but I'm very unsure how most of the cast fare.

A: Sheik, ZSS
B: Villager, Robin, Bowser Jr
C: Mario, Fox
D: Little Mac, Captain Falcon, Falco

: Mega Man

Captain Falcon has to be the most inconsistently placed character. Seen people say he's great, people say he's awful, and everything in between.

If I were to guess, his problem is likely VI.

Can't believe we'll finally all be playing Smash in less than a week. I should check if I have the weekend off. Luckily Curtain Call is actually tiding me over a bit and has replaced the Smash Demo for now.

Unfortunately November 21st is still almost two months away

I'm off the week the after Smash 3DS comes out though. Increases the temptation, but we don't have a clue what transfers or needs to be transferred. Unlocking characters and custom moves to have them available immediately in the Wii U game is really the only thing I'd use the 3DS game for anyway, especially if you have to transfer custom moves to be able to use them (we still don't know... a common theme regarding everything about the Wii U game).

So I'm closing on my new house the week Smash 4 Wii U comes out, and probably moving in close to the day the game comes out.

Kind of bitter sweet. At least I'll have the 3DS version to distract me during this long boring 2 month waiting process for loans and lawyers.

I almost wonder if the 8 color limit was applied after Mac's colors were already done. Like, some of the designers went above and beyond for Mac because of how much time they had at the time for the character and then someone put their foot down about doing that for other characters because of time constraints?

Only possible explanation, really. I can't see it any other way. Just think about the time in which the Wireframe color was revealed and then we didn't find out about the 8 color limit until a few weeks ago.

Captain Falcon has to be the most inconsistently placed character. Seen people say he's great, people say he's awful, and everything in between.

I main Falcon in Melee and I think they captured the essence of what makes him fun in Smash 4. The problem is they turned some of his approach and combo moves into dedicated finishers.

Orange is one of my favorite colors for when red is a bit too generic at a given time, but I never realized there was a loss of orange costumes, so I can't be too bummed.

Ness got a Master Belch costume and clothes that look like the file select screen from EarthBound. I almost feel like the costumes in general are beyond reproach because of that.

His combo game is pretty much the worst among the cast. You have to play him as a keep-away character...except he also has awful projectiles. :|

I haven't seen his customs yet, but they're gonna have to be pretty intense for a Mega Man main to make it out of pools. Not sure why you dislike Pikachu - she seems average to above average to me. Combos easily, good recovery, good finishers. I'd put her in B or C tier.

Pea shots are good.

Space with FAir.

Chase off the screen and try to spike with Hard Knuckle.

Dash attack is solid and not punishable when used right.

Use UTilt for kills.

You need to be using fairs as well as short hops more. Same for pivoting + short-hopping bairs. Also use his special and side special a lot more. I'm still not sure about his pshots, but it's great to use when the opponent is right in front of you for spacing as it'll knock them back farther.

Down throw into UTilt combos against some heavy characters. Try it on Samus.

For approach/spacing, cancel his dashes into dashes. There's also a small window for pivot f-smashes, and it's even harder to do with Megaman. The C-stick should do wonders for him.

I use top spin a lot as mega man. It works great against level 9 CPUs.

I have been trying my hardest. The best I can do is to play super lame with P Blaster and Metal Blade. He really sucks and the only thing that can save him is a downloadable update.

I think, after watching Makai, it is pretty obvious that he has no idea how to use the character right. He started to improve a bit toward the end, but he just doesn't get the idea behind the character.
