Is it possible that the plague has been erradicated at least from the one game?
Flagpoles around the track are denoting the type of the upcoming complexity and I can't remember I saw a driving line in any of the videos.

It's the name of the car. Has nothing to do with Polyphony's game.
Why? I don't enable a driving line in any game that offers it, but why would it be amazing for it to not be there as an option for those that struggle without it?
Oh I do hope that MP3 playback will be available by the time this comes out. Gotta tear down the streets with some Initial D tunes.

It prevents you from actually learning the course. I had to get over my fear of driving without it recently in GT6 and it really is a way better experience.
It was hard for me to build up the guts though so I guess amar is just happy people won't have the crutch.
I guess that makes some sense. I don't really mind other players having crutches if it doesn't actively harm my experience playing with them (so none of that Capcom vs SNK 2: EO bullshit). If anything, I'd probably prefer these non course learning players to have something that helps prevent them piling up every 2 seconds. It's not like anyone relying on it is likely to win the race anyhow. I can respect the "learn to play it properly" point of view though I guess.

Mmmhmm. I can't say that I ever used it much in racing games (though I remember that I did use it at some stage... but I don't think it was for long) but exactly the same thing happened with me and auto/manual transmissions in games. As soon as I got over my fear of using autos in most titles (specifically PGR4, for some weird reason) I was fine.
Having a driving line for the online races would be a clusterfuck, though. Everyone sticking to the line even though it may not be the best would be hilarious, and allow for more skilled drivers to pass them easily

Played Forza 5 for the first time today, it doesn't look as bad as it does on my monitor(judging from videos, also played it at a game stop kiosk), guess I'll need to get a tv for my console gaming, anyways, Driveclub must look amazing irl, can't wait to play it.
It would be pathetically stupid if it wasn't.
everything else would be sad.

Sometimes being behind the wheel first person doesn't feel quite right in some racing games so I have to go bonnet cam, but I like the feel of simulation and actually being in the car.
In this game I can imagine the guy furiously turning the wheel like in the first video to be a bit jarring and distracting in first person, plus you can't see the track as well because the camera is so far back, so I'll probably enjoy the dash cam, best of both worlds.

Playable at E3 was expected, but I have to wonder if Sony will bother doing a segment for this during the conference.
I'd love to see an interior light GoPro-esque (picture where the car's interior light would be, like on TV shows) or in-car rally-type camera so you can see a good portion of the interior. Because why not?

the in game aa looks poor, too many jaggies on the powerlines. this game needs infamou/crysis 3's smtx aa (or whatever its called)
