In the cast list it's written Polnareff in Japanese, I thought that's what you meant.

Mind you, Crunchyroll could well up use Polnareff, it's the Santviento subtitle for Santana that made me worry.

Is there any way to acquire the colored versions of the manga? I recently saw that parts 1-3 were colored.
On top of that is there any way to obtain the manga in english aside from scanlations for all parts?
I'll have to say though, part 3 really captures the feel of the manga.

I just thought that thee whole point of that disclaimer in the beginning of the episodes to give them the legal wiggle-room necessary to use the names. It sort of defeats the purpose of doing that if it's going to get nerfed anyhow.

For anyone who's only seen the anime and is getting All-Star Battle, I think that reading the manga is worth it if you want a good experience. I started reading it the other day and it has let me meet a good number of characters that won't be showing up in the show for a while. That said, Stardust Crusaders definitely is faithful to the manga, so if you'd rather wait several years to see the whole story in animated form (at which point the game would be irrelevant) then go ahead. But the manga is almost as good, if not better. I think it's worth it to be able to be involved in more JoJo discussion!

Honestly, the game's pretty much made for fans of the manga---if you're buying it after only seeing the anime, you're making a HUGE mistake in my mind. You'll be spoiled to hell and back, you won't get any of the references to panels/lines, you'll just be left confused.

Should be, yes. part 1 was added with the first episode of Part 3 & then Part 2 the week after. Plus it's the blu-ray versions, so no censorship.

You can start with the first season of the current anime. It covers Parts 1 and 2 of the manga. You can just jump right into this season after that.
After that you can start the manga with Part 4. It's a long series.
Not necessarily. It was the Part 1 and 2 anime as well as the ASB trailers that made me wanna read the manga. When I got the game I think I was only done with Part 3. Once I got more caught up on the manga stuff that I saw in the game made a lot more sense and became a lot more awesome. The game doesn't really spoil much aside from the Stands and villains either. Then again, it was Japanese so I couldn't understand the Story Mode.
This was referring to the anime.
Parts 1 and 2 look good. Rest is bad, I agree.
Here is hoping that the quality remains really good from part 3 onwards. Parts 1 and 2 looked bad, but was fixed when they released the blu ray versions.
Finished reading Stardust Crusaders this morning. It was a fantastic journey and although it seemed repetitive, it never failed to surprise me. I can't wait to see the whole thing in animated form, especially the last few fights

Well, the setting is the same place, and rushing?
I can't imagine how they gonna fill Dark Blue Moon as one full episode.

Well the next episode's fight and Polnareff's are the same length, so if they did it with Polnareff they can do it next week. Personally I imagine next week will be fight + set up.
Looks like we gonna got all Tarot fight in this 24 eps, who knows how they gonna pace it for the latter half.
The enemy are fewer but lengthier in the manga, but I doubt they gonna make the trade with making 2-3 eps per fight for it.

That Polnareff pose was just as good or better than I remember. Silver Chariot vs Magician's Red was animated so beautifully, this is what JoJo fights animated look like. DP has more budget this time around.
I remember some people were a bit scared CR was going to botch Polnareff's name like Santana's, thank god they didn't.

It'd been a while since I read Stardust Crusaders, I can't even remember if they even fought in a Garden. And I like how they Kakyoin says "HIS STAND IS DESTROYED BUT HE IS OK" even though this is promptly changed later that if your Stand is fatally damaged you die as well.
This is also BY FAR the most Shonen part of JoJo, and I never really realized it until now. In this episode, you have Joseph saying "RUN AWAY AVDOL IS GOING TO USE """"THAT"""", Polnareff and Avdol casually trading power explanations, Kakyoin and Joseph Speedwagoning it up with explanations and commentary in the background and NOT HELPING, and ability names.

At least we reach a battle that actually matters and is important and having money to animate it is a good thing. Even though these battles are so far only one episode there is no doubt that they are shonen battles since every damn move gets explained.
