They won't go this route if they don't want Big Dave getting pinned.
Main reason why people are only talking triple threat even though the match quality is going to suffer as a result.

Best way to handle things with that caveat would be to book a triple threat elimination match and have Big Dave get himself DQed and lay out both guys early on. Then let Orton and D.Brine wrestle a solid 15-20 minute match afterwards. (You can still have D.Brine fight Kane earlier in the night in this scenario as well just to qualify for the match.)
