PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4/PSP) | February 2014

Ugh. Grinding to $1mill and 10,000 kills in Killzone is starting to wear on me. Those are like the last two I need for platinum.

That Patton's War game is going to fetch hundreds one day!
EXCEPT EVERYONE WHO GOT IT DISAPPEARED UNDER MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

Else, I signed up for that free Japanese PS4 Plus offer, and realized this means I get access to the the Sengoku Basara 4 full game trial! Much downloading ensued!

I need those two trophies and i need to play 30 more online matches. It's quite tiresome.

Getting $1mill shouldn't be so bad. Mercy kills give $100. You can go for multikills but it isn't a sure thing for me. That starts to add-up. I got like 4,000 kills or so between multi and singleplayer. But grinding the singleplayer is just taking forever.

I wish they'd add in botzone so I can just shoot bots on easy for it faster. Ugh.

Yeah, getting $1 is "easy" if you complete the singleplayer objectives and other trophies, but the 10.000 kills... i don't think i even have half of them.

This isn't technically a game-related question but I don't think GAF has a specific thread just for this kind of issue so hopefully it's alright here.

I have two Vitas, one for non-touchscreen stuff and the other for touch screen stuff. I accidentally downloaded a game which I found out relied heavily on it and it's stuck on my local trophy list.

I know about the reset trick for switching accounts. Would it fix this issue if I did that by taking out the memory card before formatting, reset the Vita, go through the startup process again and then put back in the memory card which would "re-add" the games and saves back or is it like the PS3 where the system and memory are tied and resetting the PS3 nukes the data when it finds the memory again?

Not sure I completely understand but is your goal to delete any trace of the trophies for that game from your account? If so you can do so by reformatting the vita if you haven't synced the trophies since you got them.

I don't care that they're synced to PSN, I just don't want them on my local list since they're deleted now from the non-touch Vita.

From what I've seen online the System -> Restore method should work as long as I don't have the memory card in when I'm doing it.

I shouldn't have bought Terraria and Dustforce on Vita. Both have framerate issues and Terraria doesn't even have all the stuff from the big update from a few months ago. Going to be more careful with my purchases.

Maybe Putty Squad too.

Embarrassingly, I bought that Patton Vita port (dirt cheap) and have kept it sealed for this reason. :( This was back when it still didn't even have a PSN release. If anything, it'll probably come in handy as a replacement Vita game case.

I'm still kicking myself for not picking this up when the prices were reasonable.
There's like 3 versions of this game with different titles and art.

Yeah. I've never even seen the Aussie one in shops, and I live here. The UK release can still be found through some online retailers, but I imagine the New Zealand version would be stupid difficult to come across these days.

Guys, is it possible to transfer my Sonic Racing Transformed PS3 save to my PS Vita? I don't really want to start over. I ask because I uploaded the save from my PS3 to the PS+ cloud, but when I check the PS+ icon on my Vita before starting the game, it says it's empty or something like that.

(1) PS+ cloud for PS3 is separate from PS+ cloud for Vita. I would wager the PS4 PS+ cloud is it's own entity too.
(2) Sonic Racing wasn't designed or advertised as cross-save, so the compatibility of the save, even if you somehow moved it over, would be suspect.

It'd be like trying to get your x360 save from their cloud to your PS3 and having it work once you got it there. :)

On the PS4 is there no way to turn off auto game updates? BF4 update is downloading now but I want that bandwidth to be diverted to the PS update I need to get on the store so I can start FFXIV :<

I see DELETE but no pause?

I just posted another batch of thoughts on what I'm not liking about the new Strider.

They can be read over here for any of you who were interested in it:

I think the number one game to compare it to in this thread would probably be Guacamelee and I think it falls short in just about every facet.

If you're interested, play the demo first and then if you're okay with that, I'd still suggest wating for a sale. Doing 28/30 of the achievements on my first run on hard took 6:45. Doing a speed run on normal to get the remaining 2 took me 2:45 and I was dragging ass in some places too. Granted, the game clock resets when you die, so I spent more time with it than 10 hours (I think Steam has me clocked around $15). But I still wouldn't recommend it to most people. It's now deleted off my PC and I'll probably never play it again.

Never downloaded it

more like frameratedrop 2 a hurr hurr hurr

Sooo I take that as a no?

You really hate games that mess with your childhood.
Final Fantasy 6 :p

So I ended up with a PS4. Wanted one, but not right away... One of my friends (who has a PS4) saw one and bought one for me to buy from him, because I had talked about buying one recently and they're impossible to find right now. I didn't really want to fork the $440 out for it right now, but I would've felt bad having him return it (plus I was probably going to try to get one in March(ish)) so I got it.

Been playing Rayman Legends on PS4, and it's still such a fantastic game. They really knocked it out of the park imo, from the art, to the music, to the tight platforming its just a really strong package with a lot of quality content. The touch screen Murphy stuff never really appealed to me though so I was happy that he was regulated to a button press for this release

It saddens me that the game did not do well overall as it makes the possibility of another sequel seem much less likely. I also hoping that Ubi push their Ubi Art engine for more games as I can only imagine what a game made for the current console could do with it.
