PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4/PSP) | February 2014

You can only buy both X & X-2, regardless of whether you buy physical or digital

You think (or has it been confirmed?) that since they have a download code for X-2, they wont also have an option to just buy X-2? I can see the positives and negatives for them offering the games separately or together.

I was going to buy both games anyway/eventually, but I always thought (based on my own feelings and no actual evidence) at least on Vita they could be purchased apart from one another.

Looked it up to confirm and it seems you can't buy them separately.

Post 5 confirms it.

Thanks for the confirmation. Gah, that's kinda annoying. I want to get a physical as I'm running out of space on my mem card (and boxarts!!!) but I mainly use my US account - I'm in Aust so the voucher for x-2 will be EU.......
Then you'll just have to import a US copy of FFX.

Hey guys anyone notice the Playstation Allstars cameo in the new movie "About Last Night"? I just saw it last night and not only do they mention the game by name, they also show Kevin Hart and Michael Ealy playing it for a few minutes.

Sequal confirmed?! :D

The development team that made this (were they called superbot?) ceased to exist because of this game. I think that is unlikely.

I sometimes think console warriors / fanboys are just people that feel unsecure about their purchase, that need to convince themselves they have made the right choice. And the easiest way is trashing the competition until you believe your own shitty statements. If I'm right, I found it really sad.

That's exactly what i was trying to say... but better explained lol, sometimes my posts are too twisted :\

Do we know yet if FFX:HD will be available on it's own from the marketplace (for vita).

I'd rather do this than buy the physical double pack.

I am not really sure about this info, but since I texted my favorite game retailer here to preorder FFX and they said to me that R3 (Asia) will have two separate cartridges for FFX and X-2. I am not sure though if its in English though. I might go and buy that if that was the case here. I'll try to go to a store later to confirm this.

Edit: Checking Play-Asia, they list separate FFX and FFX-2 entries along with the combo pack. If this has no DLC's I'll buy the R3 since I'm a sucker for physical catridges.

From the Miku topic:
Quick update via the Sega blog: it's coming on March 4 in NA and March 12 in EU. US price is $29.99. The Snow Miku and Extra Characters DLCs are cross-buy; if you've already bought them on PS3 you automatically own them on Vita and vice versa.

The old OT has been updated with this info.
You guys are going to get this, right? I want Project Diva F 2nd to be localized next.

Superbot still exists. Sony cut ties with them, but that doesn't mean they can't get another company to develop a follow up in the future.

That movie must have been filmed a while ago.

edit: "Filming took place in late 2012 in Los Angeles."

That explains it, as does the studio attached.

Being a little lazy here, but what is the difference between this and the PS3 version? If they are exactly the same I will grab the Vita version, if not I'll pick up the PS3 version on a sale.

Please keep me/us up to date, I'd owe you one if I could end up importing those and get English language.

The PS3 has 6 more songs, but the Vita version might get them later via paid DLC. I don't think the PS3 version has ever been on sale yet.

6 songs isn't that big a deal, I'll have to look up and listen to some of the songs. So far the only real rhythm game I play is DJMAX, but I am open to trying others.

Yep you're right. Just really cool to see one of my favorite games from last year at the theater last night lol. I was not expecting that.

I dont want to sideline the thread so I will also add that I've been playing Spelunky like a mad man lately and finally beat Olmec with short cuts. I also picked up Lego Marvel on PS4 and am enjoying it. A vast variety of characters and a great game to remote play.

Yeah. But not Day One. I already have a physical cartridge of the game (although in Jap) plus FFX / X-2 is coming. Since the HD remaster costs around 80+usd here my gaming budget will surely be affected.

Yeah, I'll try to update the info here. It might take a while though since I will be paying 500php (~11usd) as a downpayment. If that is true that will balloon to 1000php (~22usd). Prepare your wallet though. FFX/X-2 Remaster costs 80 usd here in Asia.

I might pick it up, but we don't know the EU price yet. Never tried the series before
If you enjoy rhythm games, you should check out some of the gameplay videos. :)

Thanks to the touchscreen and superior buttons, the Vita version also has better controls. If I have to pick one, I'd go with the Vita version.

I'm seriously considering putting off my purchase of FFX/X-2HD for Project Diva f instead even though I already own the Japanese version. @_@

I haven't played the PS2 FF games so they are my priority right now. Atleast for PDf I have a cart so I can scratch that miku itch when it comes. But yeah who knows, since I know a seller of PSN cards who sell @ below the currency exchange rate so I might contradict myself when PDf drops.

My mom came over to visit me and my wife this weekend. I'm currently hiding away in the bedroom, under my comfy covers, playing Assassin's Creed IV on my Vita through remote play. I love this fucking thing, and I cannot wait until I can fire up inFAMOUS: Second Son, and just fuck around collecting Blash Shards (or whatever is the equivalent), on my Vita when I'm too lazy to get out of bed and go into the living room.

I really suck at rhythm games so I'll probably wait for a sale
There are multiple difficulty levels, and those videos were on the highest difficulty. There's a PS3 demo on PSN that you can try out. Keep in mind that there may be some annoying lag due to your TV/controller that is not present in the Vita version.

Has anyone had success accessing a store from a different region on the PS4? For example, someone with North American hardware making a European account and using that store or vice versa.

I know this works fine on the PS3/PSP, but I'm not sure if Sony has restricted it on the PS4. I'm looking forward to picking up some Japanese PSN games when that store launches and am wondering if I should even expect that it will be possible from North American hardware.

Forgot my vita USB cable and I'm travelling for a week.... such a rip-off for a replacement, $15 for a USB cable? Dammit Sony.

Vita 2000 wouldn't have this problem but then dat OLED. :'(

I hate/love that I can't stop thinking about the DLC for TLoU. The same thing happened with the main game. Once I finished it I couldn't get it out of my mind for like a week. halp

I dunno whether to get FFX HD digitally or physically. I kind of want to go physical, but then I'd feel weird having one game on a cart and the other digitally... Going digital would make them congruent, but would make a bigger dent in my memory card space... Ugh.

Ah didn't know that. Not too pricey though, great time sink when you have an hour to spare too. (also good for getting over things - disconnects emotional attachment to recent memories) or something. They give soldiers who recently went through something traumatic tetris to play.

I already have too many games. I'll pass lol

I hope Last of Us burns a whole in your heart that can never be filled then!

or something else fun comes out soon enough for you :) and you buy lumines too

just kidding, been watching too much sherlock.

Aww, check out sherlock :P

Hmm I also thought of getting Lumines. Played the demo but it wasn't all that great. Maybe It'll be a PS+ game one day.

Demo is pretty short and hard, full mode is more enjoyable and really hynoptic with some of the 'skins' (levels)...great digital game to have but each game can last quite a while - good for zoning out anyway, and the core gameplay is great, you get better the more you play too.

Already seen Sherlock. For some reason I haven't watched Episode 3 of Season 3 though lol
