Looks intriguing first episode was a bit dull though.

Ps Video games: where 90% of scenes end in the protagonist being knocked unconscious!

And the last gen continues to pay dividends! Can't wait to play this DLC, hopefully the ending will be as satisfying as the Infinite's original ending.

I think that's more heavily an Irrational thing. It's protagonists seem to have a much higher chance of getting killed in the final cutscenes than most :p

Finally got around to this.

Was really loving it, but yeah. It was really short and ended right when I thought things were going to pick up. Hell of an ending though.

Fantastic news. I took my time with EP1 and managed to get through it in just over 3 hours.

Hopefully this means that they're really sticking to a less combat-focused experience.

(I'd love if there had been a pacifist mode in the previous games so I could wander around and experience the city without getting flipping brained by splicers while I was doing it. You can sort of do that using console commands on PC but it's a bit annoying to do with keybindings.)

Irrational just released this concept art today.

I don't think so. Tranquilizer Darts for one are primarily a stealth weapon, not the other way around.

I'm not holding much hope. Bioshock has never been that great at compelling combat sandboxes... Just having tranq darts doesn't mean that you'll legit be able to stealth it...

Meh, I feel they need to start a whole new IP anyway. I won't care if they do.
I don't particularly either, although I feel like they always left a large amount of hanging threads with both games. A city full of world-altering tech is still down there...

Either way I'm not sure closing it off in an expansion to another game is the best way to have gone about it.

Also worth noting that there's a glimpse of what looks like a stealth take down in the BTS vid...

Is the video spoilerish? I don't think I wanna watch it.

Tranquilizer bolts, gas bolts and noise bolts. How this can lead to the conclusion that we'll be shooting our way through enemies is beyond me.
Anyway, I hope there's more to the gameplay than sneaking around while tranquilizing/distracting guards, Liz's powers have to factor into the gameplay somehow.

There are spoilers for returning characters and some other things that are specific to Liz, I'd avoid it if you want to go in fresh.

I just bought the season pass. Now downloading Clash in the clouds and Burial at the sea.
The download speed is atrocious. 70 minutes for 1,4 GB? Lol, wtf?

Okay, WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING.....
Took me 3 hours for Episode 1 and holy shit... it was awesome.
It feels so good to be back in Rapture. I missed it.
I didn't get the ending though :/

My (admittedly fuzzy) understanding was...

The Booker that you play is one of the Bookers who goes on to become Comstock and set-up Columbia. In Infinite's story Comstock couldn't have a child, so he opened a tear to a universe where Booker never became Comstock, and therefore had a daughter, and stole her away. However, this Burial At Sea Comstock failed in pulling the girl through in time, and she was killed.

Comstock was so overcome with grief that he had the Luteces open another tear and set up a life for him where he wouldn't remember anything that had happened. So, they gave him this backstory where he was a private investigator in Rapture, and his memories were altered to fit in with that existence. Sally was just a girl he had met in Rapture who became a Little Sister. Elizabeth tracked him down and made him remember what he had done before she let him die.

What I don't understand is
why Elizabeth was there when he was trying to take Anna. Or how a Comstock/Elizabeth could still exist given the ending of Infinite-- although this could be non-canon (unlikely since Elizabeth quotes herself from Infinite), or just written off as Comstock escaping his universe or something. I also don't know why the Luteces would help Elizabeth after doing everything for Comstock, but their motives were never easy to decipher.

Maybe Episode 2 will explain.

Okay, just read some explanarions. This is awesome
Btw: I hope we can watch the downfall of Rapture in Episode 2.

Edit: Ah posted at the same time, sorry. Thanks for the explanation ;)
