I've always enjoyed message boards. They are my main source of news and I find the topics and posters to be far more intelligent than what you hear on nightly television. Because of this I wanted to make a podcast which invites the best and brightest all together to discuss and debate the biggest issue in the world.

I have been approaching people from GAF, Something Awful, and SRK to discuss issues. Some notable posters are GAF's speculawyer as well as ex-GAF member Jaydubya, SRK's Roninchaos, and Something Awful's Raenir Salazar.

This podcast is open to anybody who wants to join in and I'm still working the quirks out. So anybody wants to be in you can post in this thread as well as post or PM me your Skype name.
 
Is JayDubya just going to ignore everything anyone else says while just yelling lalala can't hear you?

I wish you the best. It's going to be really hard though. Some people just don't have "radio voices" which makes it unbearable for me to listen for more than a few mins. That can sometimes plague more community driven podcasts.

We've done 2 and a half podcasts so far.
 
Nice intro. Although it seemed like at one point during the main body of the podcast there was some news clip spliced in in the background and was making Salazar hard to hear.

Yes. This was 100% my bad. I can explain in more detail if you'd like, but in short there is nothing I can do to get rid of it.

Twist & Turns Lessons...Learned? In Search of the Next GOP Candidate

Kickass Political Podcast looks at the current situation of the GOP presidential candidate race. We're going to be looking Mitt Romeny's stagnation in the polls, the trend of rising and falling candidates (Perry and Bachmann), and of course Herman Cain and his 9-9-9.

Next Podcast is scheduled for Monday 7:00PM Central Time USA.

As many know, African-Americans are the most underperforming demographic in the nation. They have the least graduation rate in both college (33% for males) and highschool (47%), the worst in test scores in school, the highest poverty rate, and the highest single parent rate (67%).

In this podcast we will discuss these present issues, how they started, and how can they be solved.

Normally this would be too controversy for a discussion, but I don't give a crap. I want people to be on this who have balls.

Who has the balls?
 
This sounds actually really interesting and would be a nice break from gaming podcasts. Once you work out any minor issues, I'll jump abord the listening train.

eh.... this topic seems like one I would rather avoid. It's a sensitive area and I don't want to make any statements that might accidentally come of as racist, even if I don't intend them that way.

Sorry, I meant beginner kinks. All the podcasts I have listened to have taken a few episodes to fully get into the swing of podcast. (I.e. A few episodes of experience does a lot for the quality for beginning podcasts.)
 
You absolutely should do it, but you need to approach it without apologizing and actually address prevailing issues that cause disenfranchisement amongst american blacks.

One thing that might hinder the progress on this podcast is the rotating guests concept. Most successful podcasts I've enjoyed have a core of at least two or three people that are always on to set the tone while the other members follow accordingly.

Flying Phoenix as host is a good start, but it would be good to have at least one or two regular guests. I think you are trying for that, FP. I know I've found that on my podcast, having a core of three or more people makes things go so much smoother and gives a consistent feel to the listener.

Maybe have people like SSJGoku versus someone who feels the exact opposite to him. Those who argue a need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps vs Those who say they need a helping hand and understanding. That would be fun.
*I am not keen on the idea of me speaking. I ramble a lot and to be honest my voice sounds weird at least in my head. As for a consisten guest, i'd love to hear SmokyDave he's pretty much one of the funneist and notable GAF members and i'd like to see if he is as witty in audio form.
