My #1 was 64 for years. However, after 3D All-Stars and getting 120 stars, I realized that the first half of that game holds up a ton better than the second half. The camera angles and slippery jumps make some of the later stages a frustrating mess.

After mario 64 i just couldn't find the same charm in the series. I know galaxy 1 and 2 are near perfect games and probably some newer ones are too, but there's just something about the older ones that make mario seem more like mario...if that makes sense.

Absolutely.

I erased my 10th selection and will place Paper Mario at the very top in that case. The game is that great, to where I would even put it above Super Mario 64, as absurd as that might sound to many fans
