It is strange to think of the Xbox division without P3.
His legacy is something concrete and important... I hope that whoever will take over has the same passion.

edit: Worse than Mattrick it seems impossible. :pie_roffles:

Is it just me that thinks Sarah Bond is incredibly... "stiff" on the stage? There's no charisma in her and everything she says and does feel very rehearsed.
You have to remember that most of the executives are successful because of other aspects (finance, leadership, etc) and not their ability to act on stage. They are not performers / entertainers.

Can we avoid these clickbait news articles from these websites? They literally don't add any value to anything, completely and utterly useless. I would be ashamed having to misinform or misinterpret the information and share it to the world willingly.

The obvious choice is Sarah Bond.

Possibly. He hinted at an article for the BBC that it won't be a straight, white male. Sarah Bond would be a good choice, plus help with their diversity and inclusion targets.

We need someone with Phil’s “heart”, Matrrick ambition/sharkness and Moore’s passion.

phil doesn’t make moves, Mattrick will do things far from best interest gamers and Moore doesn’t have enough tatoos

I hope Spencer will remain the head of Xbox at least for this entire generation, so next 5-6 years - his plans have been put in motion, great, but it still needs time before it all starts coming together and seriously snowballing.

Right now it feels to me that XB tries to be a bit everywhere - a bit of streaming, a bit of monthly service, a bit of traditional model, PC market, mobile devices etc., it seems like they're trying to attach/gain people from here and there rather than really having that one, unified ecosystem with gamers at the center...

Because I really don't feel all those people from all those different devices belong to the same "family", even when I play games from GP on PC I don't feel those games have anything to do with XB at all, it's actually sort of a "detached" experience, where it doesn't feel that you belong to the XB, but it's not a typical Steam experience either.

So yeah, IMO Spencer should leave not earlier than when XB as a brand builds this sort of presence, when it doesn't matter where you play, you are all playing together.

It's very weird cause I am that guy that plays from xcloud, series s and PC on an almost daily basis so I think that it's pretty closed to being unified.

There is a couple of things that they need to improve but it's on the commercial side between publishers and xbox around xcloud licensing deals.

Smart. Always have to plan for the "what if I get run over by a bus" scenario.

This cult of personality phenomena is fascinating to watch unfold.
I imagine the focus groups are saying they like Phil and Xbox marketing is now running with it. I mean using GQ for an interview says a lot about their current approach. The medium is the message.

Being an effective communicator is a incredibly important skill.

Exactly, this is healthy planning for anyone in his postion. What about bringing back J allard? I felt he was unfairly pushed out of MS, and when he was involved with Xbox was during the best days of the 360. He also managed to launch Zune where at the time launching new products at MS was always setup for failure.
