My personal pick. Moore was so old and the story was positively silly. Christopher Walken and the Duran Duran theme song were the only redeeming aspects.
That poster though.

Also fuck all the brainless sheep in this thread. Die Another Day is great.

My least favorites are probably For Your Eyes Only and Die Another Day. I didn't like Diamonds Are Forever before but I enjoyed it the last time I watched it. Its bad when you compare it to On Her Majesty's Secret Service. That movie deserved a proper sequel and not what they made.

I actually got a lot of out of Spectre. I think what distinguishes Blofield as a villain from the others is he was a vicious gaslighter, and the way Bond responds is kind of how you have to be around such people.

I havent seen all Bond movies, but Skyfall was terrible, but the Casino Royale remake was good. I dont get how everyone loved Skyfall. Corniest bad guy ever.

Those Bond movies after Roger Moore with Timothy Dalton and the Remington Steele guy were bad too. While Sean Connery and Roger Moore were using gadgets and cool cars, you got these guys driving tanks and unloading machine guns. WTF?

Quantum of Solace has grown on me over the years. I might have liked it more if it didn't come after Casino Royale, which is one of my favorite action movies ever. My pick probably goes to Spectre, which was just boring all over.

I liked all the Brosnan films because they were just fun to watch. Something that was severely lacking with Quantum of Solace and Spectre. Brosnan also had the best interactions with Q. “Don’t touch that, it’s my lunch”

The ones I always skip are Diamonds Are Forever, You Only Live Twice, Octopussy, License to Kill, and every Craig film post Casino Royale.

Although I tend to skip most of Moore to be quite honest. I really only like Golden Gun and For Eyes Only from his run.

Roger Moore movies are an acquired taste. Some reason that era of Bond movies turned into comedy bits every 2 minutes.

I used to think Moore movies were the best back then because they were on TV a lot. But as I watched more old ass Connery movies I thought those were actually better. But if anyone wants a fun romp of cheese, Moore movies are the one to watch.

I glad no one's mentioned Timothy Dalton bond films, they were awesome gritty bonds films, before Daniel Craig was even a thing

Period Bond movies would be great. Actually first time I saw Dr No on Blu Ray it looked like it was a modern made period piece due to the restoration. They would just have to be careful not to go down the campy Austin Powers route.

There was internet hype around a Tom Hardy Bond with Nolan directing it as a period piece a year or so ago.

No substance to those wishful thoughts from fans IMO, but being both have expressed interest in the roles, that would be an incredible pairing in my honest opinion.

Diamonds Are Forever is the worst film for me. Just utterly boring, pointless and Connery at that point was well-past phoning it in and looked even more bored than I was while suffering this waste of film. I makes me wish Connery could have switched On Her Majesty's Secret Service with Lazenby, since that film was tons better.

As iffy as QoS and Spectre (Pretty bad, no way about it.) they at least have some memorable stuff and Craig was actually giving an effort.

Man, I hope No Time To Die isn't garbage...

Haven't seen Spectre but from those I've seen I don't think there are really bad Bonds just a lot of meh, so in no particular order. "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" had probably the worst bad guys plan, bad fight montage and parts when nothing happened. Do "Never Say Never Again" counts? It wasn't bad but kinda forgettable. Die Another Day and Diamonds are Forever are silly but fun. "Live and let die" is fun but probably the weirdest of Bonds. "Tomorrow Never Dies" had some great action scenes and nothing else.

I thought OHMSS was considered one of the best ones? I know Christopher Nolan has said it's his favorite. I haven't seen it in forever so I don't have an opinion on it.

I am Become Bilbo Baggins
Out of those three listed, Die Another Day takes the crown. Truly awful movie.

Don't mind Quantum because I see it as Part 2 of a three-part act with Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall. Spectre was just over-the-top trash trying to recreate and double-down on the formula that made Skyfall so good. I mean, it's the same director for both, Sam Mendes.

I have to go with Moonraker, though. You think Die Another Day was bad? Look at this absolute laughing stock. No wonder Austin Powers parodied this shit out of this.

I still feel the opening scene of Die Another Day is good. The rest, no.

I think Spectre and Quantum of Solace were worse just because they are so boring that I can't really even remember what happened in them.

Roger Moore stuff is absolutely the worst though, I just cannot agree with their tone, plus the fact they're poorly directed, written etc. Great great theme songs though.
I dunno, For Your Eyes Only at least gave Moore some scope for doing a bit more of the acting stuff as opposed to raising his eyebrows now and then.

Any of the last few Craig films.

It must be frustrating for the filmmakers because at one point, Bond was too silly and people wanted more realism as Brosnan's era came to an end. Now it's too serious and people want the fun gadgets back.
Quantum and Specter are both absolute trash. Royal was decent. Skyfall has beautiful scenery and a great opening song and that's really it. Specter has one of the dumbest plot twists I've seen in a era of dumb subversions. Daniel Craig has the personality of a boulder and the charm of a terminator. That's why Kingsman is the best Bond film.

Serious answer it would be Goldfinger for me.

It has built kind of a cult following among Bond fans. However at the time there was a lot of controversy with the casting and drama around Connery which I think turned many against it.

I am so-so on it and consider myself a big Bond fan, personally. There isn’t a lot of memorable non-story material (eg: bad guy, fights, etc.). The story is a cool opening into the character of Bond, which is why I think people like it, but yeah the extra Bond “pizazz” isn’t as apparent IMO.

For me, Quantum of Solace. I found that movie almost unwatchable.

Though it did claim the crown for most bullshit "deploy the parachute just before hitting the ground" sequence.

NecrosaroIII

Ask me about my terrible takes on Star Trek characters
View to a Kill. Amazing title sequence though. Octopussy is pretty awful too. The later Pierce Brosnan movies are all dreadful as well.
