Story

Paris 1980. BJ Blazkowicz, hero of the second American Revolution, is missing. Now, after years of training and guidance from their battle-hardened father, BJ’s twin daughters Jess and Soph are forced into action. Say I buy a Bethesda.net key from one of the various sites that have this on sale, will I be able to play with my friend if they get it on Steam? Awhile back some buddies bought Dying Light on GOG and I couldn't play with them because I had the Steam version. I'd rather avoid another scenario like that if possible.

At least for Switch (I'm assuming all other consoles as well) there is a free download someone else can get that lets them play the co-op with you.

No couch co-op from what I have seen.

The Deluxe edition supports the download for a buddy.

Then even at $30 that makes it a hard buy for me. Was hoping to play this with my girlfriend doing couch co-op. She has her own Switch but I'm not going to have her buy a game she might not be interested in.

Best place to find out is to ask on twitter but doubt there's cross play.
