I'm walking into the library. I reach the door at roughly the same time as another person. We both smile at eachother and say "Please, go ahead."

I'm at the airport. The guy in front of me isn't paying attention. I tell him "I think that TSA agent is open." He responds with "Oops, thanks."

In day to day life, everyone understands that humans make little judgement errors on occasion. Nobody gives a sh*t.

That guy didn't let me merge? F*ck him, I'm going to tailgate him and flip him off.

That lady didn't see the light turn green and we've been at the intersection a whole 1.75 seconds longer than usual...Beep obnoxiously while call her a f**king idiot.

if you had complain with people with cars, wait until you got flooded with scooter in south east asia, people are nuts here.
try to find the videos online, you will see that people everywhere, are basically impatient in everywhere.
people generally unkind everywhere now. not just with vehicles.

People feel anonymous while driving compared to individual interactions face to face.

Beyond that your body/mind is also probably putting itself at the ready to be in fight or flight mode while driving. There's nothing natural about it, so our primal selves are going to sense danger whether we actively feel that way in our minds.

Because people are impatient and when you're in a car you have somewhere specific you are heading to under time constraints. And if someone is impeding your progress, people lose it. Also the car is an easy getaway. Let's face it all of our lives in our day to day lives we hold back from saying things we want to say and doing things we want to do to people. This all builds up. Eventually people are dying to release all that built up anger and frustration and what better way to do it when you're in something you can speed off in without consequences.

Kinda sorta the same premise of why everyone is quick to the outrage on social media.

A friend of mine got cut off once, so he put the window down and yelled at him. The guy got ticked and brandished a knife, so my friend responded "wrong state, retard!" and pulled his gun out. Dude nearly shit himself and hit the gas

I had a funny road rage thing the other day. Guy lost his shit when I had the nerve to... change lanes in front of him, even though he was at least 5-6 car lengths behind me, and my lane was ending, so I had no other choice but to change lanes.

I then watched as he lost his shit left and right trying to swerve through the super slow/thick freeway traffic for about 10 minutes. We then got off on the same exit, at the same time... after I spent the entire 10 minutes sitting in one lane calmly lol. He then chose the wrong lane to get into after we both got off the freeway and I was able to pass him easily and my wife and I both looked over and laughed at the dude. He was fuming.

Everyone feels entitled to whatever they were doing with their car. Also separation and you don't really have to look at the people again.

I never feel any ill will to the lady that almost bumped into my shopping cart. I just think "We all make mistakes" occasionally. I genuinely do not want to yell expletives at her.

Fuck drivers in 2026. Every fucken day and I change 3 different routes and STILL motha fuckas drive like we all just respawn whenever we want. Should have an electric shock when you grab your phone while driving. Or make all driving automated because some people be getting their license at K-mart.
