Not too many, these are the closest to quad-dipping
Final Fantasy VI (SNES original American cart, PSX, Steam with mods it is fine, I may even buy the pixel perfect remaster if it is good)
Lumines (PSP, Xbox Arcade, Steam, Vita)
Castlevania: SOTN (PSX, Xbox arcade, PSP as part of Rondo of Blood, will probably get the Castlevania Collection version pissed that PSplus in Japan got it for free just this last month but USA did not)

Catherine comes to mind. Played it on the old phat ps3, went back again on switch as I thought having a quick session on the go would be fun and went in again for the full body on ps4

I'm very impulsive when it comes to game purchases, so quite a few:

- Resident Evil 4
- Resident Evil 5
- Resident Evil 6...
- Resident Evil 7
- Devil May Cry HD Trilogy
- Devil May Cry V
- Street Fighter IV (I've bought this damn game like 10 times)
- Final Fantasy VII
- Fallout 3
- Dark Souls

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of atm.

Not exactly the same game, but I've probably bought the "Genesis" game compilation on every console from Xbox onward, quite a bit of overlap there.

Nier Automata
  1. Collectors edition import
  2. Day 1 digital via Hong Kong account
  3. PC release
Dragons Dogma
  1. OG PS3 release
  2. Dark Arisen PS3 release
  3. PC release
Several other games I've double dipped on that would become a triple dip if they get a PC release. Odin Sphere and Dragons Crown to name a couple.

Let me see.

Kingdom Hearts PS2
Kingdom Hearts PS2 Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts 2 PS2
Kingdom Hearts 2 PS2 Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix - PlayStation 3
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX - PlayStation 3
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX - PlayStation 4
Kingdom Hearts All-In-One Package - PlayStation 4

So yeah I think its Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 for me.

  • Skyrim (360, PC, PS4, PSVR)
  • Bioshock (360, PC, PS3, PS4)
  • Fable (360, PC and again with the anniversary on PC)
There are games I would like to be able to buy again, on newer systems like PS5. Like the Deus Ex series.. but alas.

I can't recollect triple dipping on anything. I bought Ocarina of Time for the 3ds, which I guess would be a double dip. When I got a Wii U I got the remastered Wind Waker as part of that deal where you could choose 2-3 free games. And I vaguely recall going to a Hastings looking for a used copy of Halo 2 to play the game one last time before Microsoft shut the xbox 360 servers down for it. But triple dip? Never. Perhaps if one wanted to call the master chief collection, buying Halo 2 a third time then maybe?

Spider-Man 2, but was a different game on each platform (DS/PS2/PSP/PC) (Bought the PC version thinking I could mod it not knowing it wasn't the main game...)

Burnout Paradise (Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, PC) (One of my favorite games ever)

Final Fantasy IV (PSP/DS/Pixal Remaster) (don't own the PR yet, but will when console ports hit)

Final Fantasy X (PS2/PS3/Switch)

Cant remember triple dipping much, but Burnout Paradise on PS3, PC and Nintendo Switch.
And very soon GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas will all be my 3rd purchase with the Trilogy.

Pretty sure just gta5 on PS3, PS4, and PC. To be fair though I never really played it on PS4 and had sold that before I bought it for PC.

Resident Evil 4 (GC, Wii, Xbox One, Switch)
Ocarina of Time (N64, GC bonus disc, Wii/Wii U, 3DS)
San Andreas (PS2, 360, PC, Xbox SX)
Super Mario Bros (many times)
Super Mario 64 (N64, Wii/Wii U, DS, Switch)

Probably a few others. The Virtual Console days were rife for rebuying games only to never play them.

Bayonetta: X360/WiiU/Switch
Diablo III: X360/Switch/PS4
Super Mario 64: N64/NDS/Switch

If you include digital than that adds a bunch of games as well, including Sim City 2000/3000, Resident Evil, Rollercoaster Tycoon and probably a good few more.

Deadly Premonition - 360 physical / 360 digital / Switch physical

DmC: Devil May Cry - 360 physical / Steam digital / XB1 Definitive Edition physical

Super Mario 64 - 64 physical / Wii VC digital / Wii U VC digital / Switch 3D All-Stars physical

If you include free giveaways like Games with Gold and The Epic Store then there a bunch of games I double dipped on that I now own in a third place but I wouldn't presume those to count
