WB hits pause on all Ezra Miller projects (including DC appearances)

On March 30, Warner Bros. and DC executives held an emergency impromptu meeting to discuss Ezra Miller’s future with the studio following The Flash star’s recent arrest for disorderly conduct and harassment. According to a knowledgeable source, the consensus in the room was to hit pause on any future projects involving Miller including possible appearances in the DC Cinematic Universe.

One insider says Miller had “frequent meltdowns” during production last year on The Flash. While the insider stresses there was no yelling or violent outbursts, they described Miller as “losing it.” “Ezra would get a thought in [their] head and say, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing,'” the insider tells Rolling Stone.

The current version of The Flash is dogshit garbage that’s going to enrage Superman fans, so they should just delete the original camera negative and take the loss as a write off.

news like this just shed a light on how fragile these projects are, on Marvel's side, imagine handling all these people and keeping them from doing stupid shit, or hoping they dont do anything stupid for 10 fucking years, so many things could have gone wrong.

It's crazy, the film is cursed WTF is happening for real. Ezra need help, go recast him at this point.
The fact that we may never see this movie is very telling of how incompetent past and present WB executives are (or where, good riddance btw) and have no idea what he fuck they're doing.

I mean sure, but maybe a good first step is not casting people who are clearly insane or prone to going insane.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Just get Grant Gustin. He's already a great Flash in front of the camera, even if the last couple of seasons of the TV show have sucked.

It should never have had one. They should have just grown a pair, realised it was a garbage fire, and moved away.

They're getting everything they deserve, frankly.

Yeah, they should end it at this state. Just give me another Cavill's solo Superman movie.
Better make it stand-alone universes like Joker and The Batman and put some reference/easter eggs if they want to show other superheroes.

I would imagine a studio that actually has sane people running it would do thorough profiling of an actor/actress before casting them in a long term project like Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Look at how people like Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Scarlet Johansson are good people who maintain a clean public image unlike this fucker.
WB is run by chimps.

There is a curse within DCEU. It is like it will never get a proper revival.
DCEU deserves all the shit its getting. I don't feel sorry for WB. They've royally fucked up these characters and been impressively consistent at it too.
They never had a clear vision for these characters. The executives meddling in director projects. No creative lead on the DCEU. Fucking Geoff Johns interfering with storylines, runtime mandates being placed on projects, mistreating cast (thanks to fuck face Whedon) and god only knows what other shit went down.
But fuck 'em.

I hope they lose more money on the DCEU. I want the DCEU to be an out of control raging dumpster fire so the message gets across that the execs here are to blame for the mess. I felt sorry for Zack. He unfortunately took all of the blame and abuse from fans.

Geezus, that’s quite the reaction to a few individual’s fuck ups. Why should Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, Zachary Levi, etc. have to pay the price for a few others’ decisions? Especially as their movies (minus Wonder Woman 2 to an extent) were well received and did well in the BO, as well as Joker, The Suicide Squad, and The Batman all being praised as well.

LIke, for fucks‘ sake, as somebody who is both of a fan of the comics of DC (and not just Batman like the casuals) and Marvel, it’s been long overdue for DC characters who weren’t Batman or Superman to get the big screen treatment. I would be PISSED if the plug was pulled this early just because a few elements were not working. A Flash actor needing to be replaced does not require an entire cancellation of everything. Either recast and don’t allude to it, recast and justify via multiverse and such, or just push Barry out and bring in Wally, Bart, and/or other Flashes.

If this is about “sticking it the execs”, please. Those bitches will walk away rich no matter what happens, don’t kid yourselves in thinking the DCEU fizzling out would affect that. If anything, it’s usually the people in smaller positions are the ones who get hurt when things financially fail.

Also, regarding your other post, uh Scarlett definitely did not keep her cool given she acted insanely unreasonable about her movie being on Disney+ and all that shit. Never mind the whole Edward Norton and Terrence Howard shenanigans. But based on what you all are saying, I guess Avengers 1 shouldn’t have happened because two actors in the prior films didn’t play ball. Also, the MCU execs did stick their nose in to certain films, see Avengers 2 and Ant-man 1 for example.

You make good points. Can't fuck with it and not going to.

I'm frustrated that the DCEU ended up the way it did. There was executive meddling in the projects of some of the movies. That much was reported on and these are my favorite characters. I just wanted these movies to be bigger than what Marvel could put out.
No Man of Steel 2. Ben Affleck's batman got canned. The whole thing was too rushed. Have no idea why they didn't go with man Of steel 2 and slowly grow the DCEU from there. Just fucking weird. then there was the story of the execs not wanting to miss out on their bonuses so they called in Wheddon to hack away at Snyders movie.
Disgusting.

It's really sad that it's so easy for the human race to judge people. We see these articles, pretend we know what sort of person they are and make judgements of them.

It'd be nice if people could look at their own life experiences and realise that life can be tough. Hell, you always see threads about people's lives on here.

Should I ask this person out?
How do I ask this person out?
My dog/cat died.
My parents died and I can't cope.
I found out my friend is a cunt.
My partner cheated on me.
I cheated on my partner.
My boss wants a meeting with me, WTF?
My friend/family or I was diagnosed with cancer.
I'm losing my house.
I'm in severe debt.
I have a bad addiction.

Just throwing it out there that Ezra could be dealing with any number of issues. If he is going through something does that excuse his behaviour? Nope. But we've all been there, I'm sure we've even seen our friends/family act irrational in certain scenarios.
and no, money doesn't automatically make things better, it can do the exact opposite.

Very true, and then you have ManaByte ManaByte who think he is super smart posting dumb shit right after your comment. How ironic, pathetic and telling.

What are you on about.

He acted like a cunt and was called out.

Your list, the time you took to type that is more than they did to think about their actions.

Now ... give your own example.

From wiki. Firstly, no doubt a drunk. Secondly, hostile and volatile. If you ever see this guy at a restaurant, stay away from him.

Legal issues and controversies

On June 28, 2011, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while shooting The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Miller was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for a broken brake light, and police discovered 20 grams of marijuana in their possession.[1][45] Initially, Miller was charged with drug possession, but the charge was later dropped by a judge. They instead faced a penalty of $600 for two citations of disorderly conduct.[20] They later commented: "I don't feel like there's any need to hide the fact that I smoke pot. It's a harmless herbal substance that increases sensory appreciation."[46]

On April 6, 2020, a video surfaced in a since-deleted tweet that appeared to show Miller choking a woman and throwing her to the ground. The video was confirmed by Variety to have taken place in Reykjavik at Prikið Kaffihús, "a trendy bar in central Reykjavik that Miller frequents" when in the city.[47][48][49] A bar employee identified the person in the video as Miller and said they were escorted off the premises by staff after the incident.[47]

On January 27, 2022, Miller posted a video to their Instagram that seemed to threaten members of the Ku Klux Klan operating in Beulaville, North Carolina. The Southern Poverty Law Center reported no knowledge of recent Klan activity in Beulaville.[50][51]

On March 28, 2022, Miller was arrested in Hawaii, following a physical confrontation with patrons at a karaoke bar.[52][53] It was later revealed that Miller had been kicked out of numerous bars for a month before the arrest.[54] Shortly after Miller made bail, a couple with whom Miller had been staying filed a restraining order against Miller, accusing them of assault.[55] Miller allegedly broke into the couple's bedroom then proceeded to steal their wallets, credit cards, debit cards, bank cards, passports, driver's licences and social security cards, amongst other items. Miller also allegedly threatened to kill them telling the husband that they "would bury him and his slut wife."[56]

My own example for having a shitty life? I don't have any.

And yes, Ezra acted like a cunt but we don't know him and have no idea what lead to him acting like a cunt.

Nobody_Important

“Aww, it’s so...average,” she said to him in a cold brick of passion
Really wish people would stop connecting Ezra's choice of pronouns to their erratic behavior. Plenty of LGBTQ+ people go through their whole lives without assaulting anyone or behaving like deranged assholes. This person is not "proof" of whatever stereotype people wanna push about LGBTQ+ people and mental health. Not just talking about on here either I just mean in general. I have seen people across social media using this persons individual problems and using it as a bludgeon to show how "wrong" people like them are and spout the usual outdated nonsense about LGBTQ+ mental health etc etc.

Shit on them if you want and get mad at their behavior if you want. Hell shit on their acting and attribute it to their behind the scenes bullshit if you want, but that doesn't mean you need to use their behavior to push whatever preconceived prejudices you have against people of a similar lifestyle to them. Their problems are THEIR problems. They are not indicative of the entire group.
