This console sure is getting a lot of attention for something that was already mocked and dismissed as a joke keeping the whole generation back as soon as the specs were released!

It’s 2013 all over again, except this time there’s a more powerful XBox around, but you can see it’s not as funny to talk about that. Huge elephant in the room when you want to make fun of MS.

I can predict there’s going to be a lot of fire and denial every single time the Series S performs above its supposed lackluster expectations. May not be the right console for enthusiasts, but it’s gonna bring a lot of fun! :messenger_grinning_smiling:

It was designed to be a 1440p machine, no matter how many times people (incorrectly) say it was designed to be a 1080p machine it doesn't make it true:

Also:

(This game runs at 30fps)

"Designed to play games at 1440p 60fps"

Reality: 1080p and below, 30fps.

When games start running at 720p later on in the generation as things get more demanding will you guys also say it was "designed" to be a 720p machine?

so with this logic, does this mean the XSX and PS5 will be 1440~1800p, struggling to hit 60fps consoles later on in the generation as devs get too ambitious like they always do?

Also, if an XSX game hits 4k 60, 1080p is 1/4 of the resolution. The XSS has a quarter of the Tflops of the XSX. So shouldn't this mean it should hit 1080p 60 at the same settings?
