Actually I give the nod to the PS5(I have tested both)From the sounds of it the XSX barely wins this one. Heck the two are so close I wouldn't make a purchase decision off the graphical differences between the two. Just my opinion.

PS5 has better AA with XSX suffering from shimmering.
Hopefully a more in depth test is done to show this.
The character shadows are really shitty, I don't remember them being that bad before.Bungie need to be called out for their laziness here. The particle effect, GPU effects, smoke and most other effects have been dialled down to low for the next gen systems. Instead of optimising and enhancing them they took the lazy route and turned everything down to low while allowing the systems to brute force to 60fps.
It's a mix of medium / high settings and they achieved their resolution and framerate targets on all platforms.Bungie need to be called out for their laziness here. PS5 wins this one and he is saying that....Will you say this when PS5 barely wins one?
No, PS5 image is more refined.....You heard it here first....Pop ins?
Wait for Battlefield 6 from Dice......Or Bad Company 3......It should crush...All these head to heads are a joke.
Fuck cross gen
Lets do vs thread with next gen only titles.
Oh there is none?
Switch it is then
No, I'm saying most of Vgtech's framerate runs are like for like. Some games it's impossible, Destiny is one, they can't control the load and scene per scene or load is not exact....Just as in every MP game, you judge performance based on overall average framerates. Vgtech was just professional enough to disclaim that so people would be advised....PS5 wins on overall framerate with more explosions and the player being closer to the action which heightens the load, all that with a touch better IQ as well...So basically you are saying not to infer much from the video because of slight differences in scenes.
Then you proceed to tell people they should infer the opposite because... of reasons.
At least they had some data to back up their claims.
That's a big paragraph to say you are inferring stuff without actual metrics.PS5 wins this one and he is saying that....

You may be right, but again it's inferred. You don't know because... well... it wasn't measured.
He's just making stuff up.
When you watch the video although you can't make the scenes play identically they are run throughs of the same areas. There isn't one format closer to the action or having more explosions at all
Let's be honest here you're just as bad with some of your claims. He's just making stuff up.

Do you have a link to these upcoming Dirt 5 features yet?
Not to mention how often I see cherry picked "side by side" shots in other threads showing framerate higher on PS5 but not only is it not the same scene, it's a completely different area of the game. One poster in particular loves doing this.
Good of you to admit you were making it up.You were supplying the link that VRS is used on the Xbox version, you couldn't find one, just some talk before release. Take it to the Dirt 5 thread, it's all off topic.
When people infer things, I'm generally of the mind they are making it up.He's just making stuff up.

It got sweeter and sweeter.
Is that what it will look like when the PS5 gets VRR?
Dunno, I prefer to live in the here and now, enjoying the best performance a console can give.
I thought it was the TV that did that. I'm definitely not getting VRR on my monitor.
But I guess what you said makes sense. What matters are how things currently are not what they might be like. But at least we have official confirmation of VRR for the PS5.
P.S I don't believe the PS5 getting VRR will automatically make it the most powerful console. There's alot more that goes into how a game plays than just a variable refresh rate.
If it was just the TV then it would work on PS5 now, it doesn't.
I didn't say that.So you're saying the console isn't capable of VRR? I thought Sony already confirmed it.
It just prevents screen tearing bud. Nothing to do with power.I thought it was the TV that did that. I'm definitely not getting VRR on my monitor.

I said it's more than just having a VRR TV.
So you're saying the console has hardware that is capable of VRR?
Contact Sony customer support and ask them to flick the switch, I have no idea why they haven't turned it on since it supports it
Once sony games start to suffer from screen tearing i am sure sony will say ok lets help out our console.Contact Sony customer support and ask them to flick the switch, I have no idea why they haven't turned it on since it supports it
It's a similar situation with the SX version of Dirt 5 and VRS apparently. Just needs turning on.Contact Sony customer support and ask them to flick the switch, I have no idea why they haven't turned it on since it supports it

Despite the technical lead stating it would be turned up to 11 upon realise. It's all very confusing.
LolNot much in it, but Framerate is king in my book. PS5 takes it by a gnats pube.
But thats the new metric xbox fans measure by.Not much in it, but Framerate is king in my book. PS5 takes it by a gnats pube.
But not always. The Xbox 360 seemed more powerful at first, but by the end of the generation the PS3 had some better looking games once developers knew how to take advantage of it.It's not like developers are taking full advantage of the PS5 either. The generation is still young.
But from my experience the significantly more powerful system usually shows it at launch. Like with the PS4 and Xbox One for example.

MS Gen 1 Scarlett tools coming in. Wait for Gen 2... KFC Console doesn't stand a chance.
TLDR version
Series x has the higher resolution on average but stumbles by not even a 3rd of a frame out of thousands
Fanboys call it a victory
It's probably broken.Destiny 2 gets too dark when using HDR. Seriously.
It makes sense, but you're not addressing the point I was.
It's not "magical" it comes from AMD themselves , unless you're saying AMD is lying?
I'm not making the comparison to PS5, you are. I'm saying the people crying about RDNA2 in this thread don't seem to understand what the RDNA2 features that Series X hardware supports actually do and that they are not implemented on any of these last gen engines.
