Verified status has nothing to do with the performance, it mentions things like button input, text size, etc. For example Cyberpunk SD preset is rather crap, but no worries - it's a PC game, you can just dial things down to the point where you are happy with the result (graphics, FPS, battery life). That goes for every game on Steam deck.

Consoles: One, max two ways to play the game, you have no control over each setting
PCs: just do whatever you want
