Bundled games are counted. Regarding hzd2 I thought it was a little scummy of Sony to bundle it when the ps5 is still impossible to find. So people that want a ps5 need to buy hzd2 as well, which many may not want to buy.

With Nintendo I don't think they've recently did a bundle when the console was facing the type of scarcity that the PS5 is currently. They did Mario kart a couple of years ago I think but the Switch was readily available.

Wii sports is one of the best selling games ever but I think everyone realizes that's the case because it was a Bundled game. But I think Nintendo actually included it for free. That's not what Sony is doing here.

As someone who tried to get a Switch in 2020, yes they had severe stock issues.

I don’t think that’s something relevant tbh. The game is good and is having good sales. This is going to be one of the biggest games for Sony this gen.

It's obviously the scalpers. You see they buy PS5 consoles and hold onto them for years without selling or playing them. You can't count them as purchases. So even if you sell more, you didn't.

To find out interest in it. If it has similar completion rates to other non bundled games it would suggest people are happily buying it and the sales aren't too inflated by the bundles.

Yeah it's hard to tell what difference an update would make to increase the sales, though good news travels fast so probably accounted for some.
