0-15 years old when life was new and the world was your lobster. When you were a kid and Santa delivered for you, when you were a teen and should have been tapping ass but you were tapping x.

Name your top 4 most important games (in order of influence).

Nobody wants to hear that you can't choose 4 so I will list 10, no I'm 34 and still in my formative years. 0-15. We want to know your generation.

Me: Born 78 became jaded in 1993

1. Street Fighter 2
2. Super Mario World
3. Final Fight
4. Mortal Kombat

Honorable mention

Games I played the most before 15:

Conquest of the crystal palace
Rygar
The Legend of Kage
Final Fantasy VI

The game that impacted me the most from my childhood is Ys Book 1&2. Still one of my favourites today.

For that age, easily Adventure and Pitfall for the Atari 2600, and for arcade, probably Zaxxon, Donkey Kong and Kung-Fu Master.

1. Tetris
2. Megaman X
3. Street Fighter II
4. Super Mario World

These are the games that basically made me who I am today. These are not my favorite ones but they are the ones that made me love the medium when I was a toddler.

1. Ocarina Of Time
2. FFVII
3. Link's Awakening
4. Super Mario 64

also : Majora's Mask, RE1/2, MGS, Super Metroid, Tomb Raider 2,

For some reason FFVII is the only one to have fallen out of my personal pedestal. It's not even in my top 10 anymore. It feels too rigid and linear. Nevertheless, I adored it back then.

Oh cmon, 0-15 is a big span to only name 4 games.

I'm gonna give you 4 period span with multiple games instead.

I guess i can ignore black and white pong\commodore 64 period span because i didn't really liked that era.

Alien storm\master of darkness sega master system 2 plus
wario land 1\pokemon red gameboy
sf2 turbo\super mario all stars\dk2\mk3\earthworm jim 2 snes
mgs1\ff7\re2\parasite eve 1\tekken 3\tombi\castlevania sotn ps1

I wasn't big on pc gaming when i was little but you can put max payne 1 and diablo 1 as excellent leftovers from that list.

I played those over and over and over and over again, probably the games I played the most in my life.
And.... Just 4 games??? I really need to add also Super Mario Bros NES, GTA III PS2, Resident Evil: Code Veronica X PS2, Soldier fortune 2: Double Helix PC, FFX PS2, Kingdom Hearts PS2, Return to Castl: Wolfenstein PC, Halo: Combat Evolved PC, Doom 3 PC, Fear PC, Call of Duty 2 PC and the girlfriend who left me for no reason, making me quit gaming for almost two years.

Born in 91.
From the top of my head.

1. Chrono Trigger.
Aside from Pokemon it's the first proper RPG I played and I just loved everything about it. It's the first game I remember getting me invested in not just the gameplay but the world and characters
2. Pokemon Red/blue/yellow
Probably my most played games as a kid. It wasn't just the game I really enjoyed but trading and battling with friends, sharing tips and discoveries, hearing countless rumors on the playground from the ones that actually worked (like Missingno) to the ones that were complete BS (Mew under the truck)
3. Age of Empires 2
Was obsessed with this (also age of mythology) , so much fun playing both alone and with friends and I also always enjoyed that it was one of the few games my dad showed interest in too
4. Tibia Online
First MMO I ever played and while it was extremely grindy and unashamedly Pay 2 win, it was still amazing when everyone in my class was playing. And the open world was legitimately cool, getting to places felt like a journey.
5. Chrono Cross.
I didn't like the story or combat as much as trigger, but damn does it have a one of a kind, amazing world and music.
