It's not a fair comparison. Both games are great in their own right

Thief is stealth with more realistic stuff to think, while MGS has a more "funnier" vibe

I could easily get MGS, but I prefer MGS. Thief is a great landmark on PC gaming and there's no denying about that

MGS isn’t great because it has hardcore stealth mechanics, it’s great because they’re balanced and approachable while doing all the other things right presentation-wise. And yet I’m pretty sure I beat it with no radar and game over on discovery…so you really could make it a hardcore stealth game if you wanted
