Very interesting. I remember when MK came out, it was a breakthrough in so many ways.

There was a certain rivalry between MK and Street Fighter, and I was in the Street Fighter club. But it was all just silly. They were both great, and different games.

I ended up addicted to Virtua Fighter, so... what do you know..
