Steam Streaming Service.

Some code has been found with markers that steam may have its own streaming service on the way.

Of course this being steam it likely wouldnt affect anything else but may be beneficial to steam in other ways...ie cloud benefits etc. Im sure Valve would find interesting things to do if true.

Streaming services don't make sense if you don't have the infrastructure. If you don't you are paying not only the devs and publishers to put their games onto your service, but also the provider for their infrastructure. And that makes it hard to have a compelling monetary offer for your customers. Valve isn't known to like profit sharing. The question is, who would they team up with. Amazon, Google or Microsoft? Google makes sense because of their Linux focus. Microsoft makes sense because of the biggest compatibility of the existing library of games. And Amazon kinda needs to get into the market so they can start using their servers after work hours for gaming. But they also want to do their own service.
