South of Midnight Nintendo Switch 2 vs PS5 Graphics Comparison + FPS Test

Is the S2 footage docked? Not bad visually, but the fps difference is quite jarring.

Also, why is that girl vocalizing her thoughts like that?

Not interested in the comparison, is the game any good? I've never heard if it, straight up 3rd person action/adventure, yes?

I played for a few ours (GP PC version) and it's as average as it gets, bored me to death at some point.

But for sure it has interesting visual style.

Wtf, I didn't put them there? Is this a new thing here ffs? 🙄

Switch 2 is the defacto console at the moment.

If you are looking for a powerful games machine you may as well go PC as PS5 is pretty much just as expensive as a similar ranged PC and in 2026 buying a base PS5 with rudimentary upscaling is a bit of a piss take at 600.

Switch 2 has better exclusives and handheld play two in one and when docked is good enough with the mini DLSS and 40fps modes they are using. Plus an insane backlog of S1 games and exclusives.

Unless you are desperate for Saros (which I think will come to pc) and GT7 WHICH admittedly is my GOTG

It's a decent game, but not because of the gameplay which is dull and repetitive. The soundtrack is unusual and if you're into it you will be pretty amazed. The environments are great, the story is fine too with a lot of darkness. It's the south after all.

I enjoyed it. It has a really great, unique style. It's linear and direct and has a simple gameplay loop. Not worth full price really but it's a solid 7/10 AA kind of experience that you could like. I have friends from deep Louisiana who adore it a lot more than I did so ymmv.

now you are playing mediocrity
I watched a YouTube review of it, and they basically said they loved the art direction, but the combat got tedious. I just got Kena, and I'm not feeling like double dipping on the same premise; these games sound like two sides of the same coin.

tried Kena and it felt really repetitive, but to be fair, I didn't give it a fair shot. But yeah, I agree with you.
