It's not like they were all "hmmm... square or savage, what should we buy tomorrow?"

Right, if there are any negotiations with Square, this buyout would mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. We all know sony (and microsoft, tencent, NetEase, Embracer, Amazon, etc) are in constant negotiations and they’re all looking to buy more.

It will be interesting to see if they continue buying throughout the recession though, although i can see a lot of companies more willing to sell now while they still get a bit of a premium.
