I mean, this is pretty awful news and all (I guess), but....what in the first KOTOR that needs to be rewritten and made safe for woke-ism?

I legit can't think of a single instance - main quest, or otherwise - in which a major rewrite is needed to adapt to "modern attitudes."

Unless they just do a complete script rewrite, to which they then can kindly go fuck riiiiight off.
