I cannot find a straight answer on this.

I am getting the Series X in a few weeks along with these game (which are optimized for Series X but not Series X only). These games are cross gen and the games cases say they play on both.

1. So can I install the games on my external and will it download all 'special delivery' assets there? (to save internal SSD space)
2. Or do I HAVE to install them on the internal SSD on the Series X?
3. If I choose to install on the internal SSD , would the only benefit over the external be faster load times?
4. Would they otherwise be the same using the external as the internal for the games.

I know the later Series X ONLY games will REQUIRE them to be installed internally but not sure about these launch, cross-gen games.

It needs to be on the internal or expansion ssd to be the series x version.

Good questions OP, I was looking for same answers and coppin same haul as you plus CyberPunk all on Series X.
