Why would it be classic bureaucracy. If anything it points to Sony tying down the save system with the way files are packaged. Games taking advantage of Oodle Kraken are not playing nice with the PS4 versions.

"Classic bureaucracy" in a sense, that any company with appstore have some sort of policy which you have to obey so you can publish your SW, not really meant it to be directed at Sony. There are tons of things which MS have annoying for their store too, but they have more relaxed policy in comparison to Sony.

The way Xbox handles save games in general is just better. I was playing Carto on xCloud via iPhone, then started playing it on my XSX and the save game was also just there. No matter where you play, you'll have your save game with you.

I mainly play on PS5 but as the case with Xbox One, the save system is so so much better, if my PS decides not to upload my save I've been screwed by it a few times, Xbox I can still load games from Xbox One launch and it feels like it was installed all this time, I just load it and play to carry on.

Xbox has made some great moves with the hardware, we just need some games now.

The proof is in the pudding, Sony can clearly learn from this for future updates hopefully.

I don’t own Xbox and at the moment don’t plan to own one, PS5 is more than enough for me in my somewhat busy life.
But I’m happy when Xbox introduces good new features that makes Sony being stepped on their toes.
Competition seems to be finally back and I like it.
