Scarlett Johansson Sues Disney Over ‘Black Widow’ Streaming Release

Because Disney pulled the COVID card...

This isn’t four groups uniting to defend Scarlet following a brutal misogynistic attack by Disney, this is four people in a group chat who decided to get their companies some publicity by weighing in on an issue that has nothing to do with what they’re claiming. Ironically for a group called “Women In Film”, this will actually hurt any equality shouting because they cried wolf for personal gain. But they don’t care about that, clearly.

Unless there’s some vital information left out of the article Variety did on Disney’s response, there was nothing gendered about it.

And what a fucking stupid way to draw attention away from the actual (and very fucking real) problem this lawsuit is highlighting.

The stories around this should be about how the streaming model is potentially going to destroy the livelihoods of thousands of movie industry workers who rely on residuals earned from theatrical release.

But instead it’s been hijacked by the gender argument. Despite the fact Johanssen’s gender has nothing to do with Disney’s shit heel response.

Let’s see what happens when the fucking Rock sues for Jungle Cruise…

Rock's a Hollywood powerhouse these days, if he took them on it would be big news and they probably don't want to lose him, but he probably has a top tier legal team behind him to make sure it doesn't happen in the first place. We all know he can afford it. ScarJo's case has (to a point) slipped under the radar so far, it seems. Maybe that will change as things progress.

My god, she got 15 million dollars for Black Widow, 35 million for Avengers and is the highest paid actress in Hollywood.
What a greedy c*nt!

I'm sure she'll continue to work with Disney if opportunities come up in the future ass well. Lot's of money left on the table if she refuses to work with them.

It was always heading for settlement. this is business not personal.

And $125 million for a streaming a movie while it is available at the cinema is a big thing. Netflix might could be thinking it is giving it away by including it's movies for free.
