We go hands on with the first two chapters of the upcoming Samurai Warriors 5, the fifth entry in Omega Force's popular "Warriors" series.

Samurai Warriors 5 is a musou game, a term used to describe Omega Force's unique brand of action game that pits single warriors against literally thousands of enemy soldiers as they complete objectives in large and expansive battlefields.

Dynasty Warriors may be the oldest and most famous of the Warriors franchises, but Samurai Warriors is no slouch, either. The series has been around since it made its 2004 debut on the PS2 and Xbox.

The newest game in the series, Samurai Warriors 5, releases on July 27th. Here’s what you need to know about Samurai Warriors 5.

Samurai Warriors 5 reviewed by Alex Santa Maria on PlayStation 4, also available on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Koei Tecmo's new Samurai Warriors game won't shock anyone who's played one of Omega Force's Warriors games before, but it does present a great new style and enough over-the-top action to keep you coming back.

Enjoying the game so far. I'm leveling up the edgy gun gun character and he is very OP. Like Magoichi Saika in SW4II. It's a shame about the shared movesets.
