Turkey says no NATO for Sweden.

A danish provocateur burned the quran outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm which made Erdogan see red. So now he will not support Swedens entry into NATO.

What a shit show. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

At this point I would rather kick out Turkey and get Sweden and Finland in NATO.
Seriously, Turkey, especially with Erdogan, has been more trouble than what it's worth.

How stupid. Someone from Denmark does something outside the Turkish embassy in Sweden and Erdogan throws a hissy fit...... He's a bit thin skinned isn't he?

Of course, this is all for show and Erdogan is enjoying the power to veto.

100,000? That’s a good deal. Turkey has 4 million. He’d be more than happy to send them west like pawns, which is the quid pro quo that gives him leverage.

Regardless of Erdogan, turkey does have real concerns in regards to Sweden and the PKK and arms embargos that could be resolved, but smooth-brains on each side let all this dumb shit get in the way of reconciling differences, finding compromise and moving into the future together as allies. We'd love to see it, regardless of the idiots that let us down by burning flags because some fat-necked 4-chin twat burns a fucking book.

Turkey's an important strategic partner for NATO. Sure, Erdogan keeps yanking their chains and playing both sides, but they've been providing support for Ukraine.

Erdogan is a full blown dictator, that uses humans instead of energy as bribe and basically also calls every EU country nazi's while at it. The dude should have been dealt with a long time ago as he's pretty much exactly like putin.

Whatever this clown says on anything shouldn't even remotely matter. If he starts to act up in any way he should be dealt with accordingly.

Yup he will be the next big problem in Europe.

Erdogan's veto is cynical but Sweden opens the door for itself by it's hypocrisy. Self expression is already heavily curtailed in Sweden with it's tight laws on hate speech. The reason it allows exceptions for those supporting terrorist organizations and anti-islam protests eludes me.

So the germans are finally going to deliver the tanks.

Hope to see some nice videos of these monsters in action.

Apparently so. About time as well.

The UK has also sent in the C2 tanks, which is great because both tanks complement each other. The C2 is better armoured, but German L2 is faster and more mobile. Ukraine can use whatever tank best suits the situation. The best of both worlds.

Russia are slightly more fucked than before once these beasts start entering the field.

Leopards 2, yes! Took them long enough ! Good the Germans came to their senses, next time a bit faster and less bureaucracy. Now on with the apaches , f16s.

That's the question now isn't it? When are these going to start entering the battlefield and making a difference? A lot of these tanks are mothballed/in storage and need rebuilding. Have red various news snippets of 20 now, rest end of 2023/beginning of 2024 etc.

Ukraine needs 100+ tanks for the Spring, in order to punch through Russian lines and push them out.

Of course, training in their use and maintenance will also be needed.

It'll be months before the tanks are on the battlefield which is why I think there should be a greater focus on sending IFVs right now. A few hundred of those in conjunction with Ukraine's soviet era tanks should be good enough for an effective counteroffensive in March/April if thats the time frame they're aiming for.

Not everyone maintains their tanks like Russia does.

This number is absolutely astronomical. How can this be accepted in the XXI century?
Because Russia is just a massive fucked up serf-lord kingdom. It never really changed. They might as well be back in feudal times.

And because it is so massive, it's very hard for other countries to influence it.

So this now includes Lepords, Challengers, AND Abrams tanks for Ukraine? Holy shit, Russian commanders and troops must be clenching thier butt cheeks for the impending railing they will receive in the coming months.
