[RUMOR] From Logan to Laura? "Wolverine 3" to possibly feature X-23 (SuperHeroHype)

Well now!

It’s been known for some time that the upcoming Wolverine 3 will feature Hugh Jackman’s Logan and Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier teaming up, but there may be another X-Men character along for the ride in the film. Though it remains unconfirmed, we’ve heard that the mutant X-23 will be making her feature debut and will join Wolverine and Professor X for their journey in the sequel.

Some interesting possibilities, here. Especially if they go ahead and kill Logan, and have him pass the name onto Laura, which allows Fox to keep making Wolverine movies, turning the character into a legacy character for another 10 or so years, before they decide to reboot entirely or whatever they feel like doing that far out.

(Keep in Mind: this is a SuperHeroHype exclusive, so there is still some skepticism to be had, although they're nowhere near as shitty when it comes to reporting on rumors as fellow "supehero news sources" comicbook and comicbookmovie. Both those sites are unbleached leather cheerio. You should stop reading them.)

Let your terrible, knee-jerk fancasting begin!

(Slayven, feel free to post quality images and storylines)

This would be fucking amazing. I love Laura. Shame I can't see her interact with Captain America on screen...but still....I want this. Make it happen!

Wait Patrick Stewart? I know Deadpool is far removed but you'd think any Wolverine 3 would set it up for a new Logan or his successor to pal around with the 80s X-kids.

Depending on who they get and how they write it, having X-23 and Deadpool team up, or maybe even throwing both of them into X-Force would be a pretty fun way to go.

Jackman is the man, but dude's gotta be thinking about taking it easy. Nobody wants to be eating 18 steaks and working out 3 hours every day past 50.

I like Laura as a character. Well enough, anyway. I'd be cool with this.

Could be worse. Could be Daken.

I bet they make an old Logan movie with Jackman in 10-15 years.

This likely is the Old Man Logan movie. Except you can't even half-ass adapt that story because so much of it depends 100% on having access to the Marvel villains Fox has zero access to.

So you'll probably end up with something that takes like, Essences of Old Man Logan (Eau de Howlette) and marries it to a half-ass adaptation of Death of Wolverine? Maybe?

They cast a villain already, and they got Charles (nooooooooo) in there. Lord knows what the story's actually gonna be but Hugh is leaving this shit behind because he is old and this shit is hard.

Yeah, that was Lady Deathstrike. Or rather, it was a character named Lady Deathstrike.

Then again, there aren't too many X-Men characters that actually act much like their comics/cartoon counterparts anyway. Except for Deadpool and Colossus in "Deadpool."

Maybe Erik.

If they reboot this and Singer still in charge, remeber that he likes his GoT actors, so expect Kit Harington as the new Logan

How would that work? If they want to bring Wolverine into the 80s-set films going forward (and I expect that will happen eventually) they would want to introduce the newer, probably much younger Wolverine in those movies and not involve Hugh at all.

Laura being in the film would be cool. Hailee Steinfeld (who is pals with Sophie Turner, the new Jean Grey) has been my fan cast for X-23 for a while.

That would make any Logan/Jean scenes really awkward for both the actor and the audience!

Been saying this for awhile, that they should bring in X-23 as a replacement. Though if they do her backstory they may end up getting some changes assuming Wolverine is PG-13.
