Please, take into account that this is a RE2 Sourcenext PC mod which is made for you and for free, not a game made on a new engine (because we're not engineers of any sort, just fans). There is no release date yet, but we will very likely launch it this Fall. As some comments mention, the kind of "open-world" that this mod is going to have is similar to Silent Hill or the first Dark Souls, but at a smaller scope due to limitations. From the very beginning you will have lots of optional locations to explore, but many areas will be unlocked through story progression. The most important location is the RPD, but the rest of additions will make the mod feel totally different from the original RE2. If you're looking for the soundtrack that plays during the cutscene, it's "Time" from Deep Fear.
