We compare the Sony PS5 & Xbox Series X in terms of 120fps output.

Games compared for picture quality include Fortnite, Dirt5 & Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, displayed on two LG CX OLED TVs which have been calibrated in [Game] mode.

The PS5 on your left is set to "Performance Mode" for 120 fps output with compatible games, while the Xbox Series X on your right is set to "4K UHD 120Hz" which outputs 4k 120fps on a console level.

Some interesting stuff. Leaving the XSX on 120 hz mode gives lower input lag even in 60 FPS games. Also blacks are washed out in the XSX version of COD for some reason.

This was really interesting. So, for some games you can trick the game to run in 4K 120?

Interesting. Expecially in dirt 5. Thou it can maintain 4k 120fps high quality graphics and at the same time he said that when in 120 mode itself ps5 has some graphical quality advantage

So
Fortnite = same

Dirt 5 = sx high graphics at 120fps advantage

Ps5 advantage on 120fps with some better graphics advantage

Cod = Ps5 has better black compared to sx

I think being able to lock 120 is a good thing. No diff to locking to 4k even if the game is 1080p or 60hz while game is 30. Makes perfect sense.
