The Xbox Series S/X isn't sold out in Europe. You can enter in any store in Spain/Portugal and buy it easily.
The PS5 is sold out everywhere.
If the UK (the only county in Europe where Xbox used to have a significant % of the market) is like that, in the rest of Europe is much worse for Microsoft consoles.

As expected but whats the sales breakdown? XSX and XSS are sold out as well. It's just a matter of who shipped the most and it seems this is one of the few things Jim Ryan got right.

Also, this isnt a sprint, it's a marathon so lets not start sucking each other's dicks just yet.
I mean we also have the last 20 years of Sony largely winning as well. How long do you expect this marathon to last?

No actual unit numbers though. I don't think anyone is surprised by this, but I would like to see what that gap looks like.

nobody really expected otherwise. once there was no obvious ps3 reveal disasters for ps5, it was obvious it would go on to dominate the market.

xbox also looking healthy if its just slighty behind switch. imo xbox series could get close to or maybe even pass xbox 360 total sales.

Phil Spender will be fired and Don Mattrick Senior II Will regain the reigns. Gamepass will die. I saw this with my that's so raven dualsense.

That just doesn't seem to be much to brag about in 2021 when the Switch launched in 2017.

The reverse wouldn't be much to brag about either as the PS5 is more constrained by supply issues.
It's just a stat. Current sales matter of course. They indicate trends and where the market is going.

When taking a hot-shower, you could make some tea at the same time. That´s wrong, even Obelix finds that infuriating ...

Isn’t it all related to available stock? Meaning how many units manufacturers delivered to market. XSX is sold out in most of online stores in the uk, XSS is available in most places.
Yes.

But that's still a fundamental failure to produce more. I find it odd too that people love to throw around the 'Sony doesn't have any money, Microsoft has billions in the bank' line as reasons for why MS can do X, Y and Z to benefit Xbox, buying studios, creating a better cloud, whatever it is, yet no one ever talks about how they don't use the money to produce more by buying the lions share of production resources.

Not surprising. Xbox One went out on a wet fart and Series doesn't have any notable software yet.
Xbox series is sold out everywhere in the UK...
They are clearly not putting as much stock out in the UK as playstation or switch.
If stock wasn't an issue, I still imagine they would be behind sony, due to Sony's popularity in the UK though.

Software is nothing to do with it ATM lol

Series S isn’t even remotely sold out. You can go to a store and pick one up right now.

I am perfectly fine with xbox being in third. Third place xbox had been amazing for me as a consumer. First place xbox give us the shitty xbox one. Give me that scratching to be relevant eat the cost of gamepass xbox all day
Wii was first place actually. xbox hasn't done anything good since 360, gamepass is anti consumer since you don't own the games.

Means nothing when there is zero available stock of PS5 or Series X, they are still selling every single one they can manufacture so you can't really read much into the demand yet. Not to say that the PS5 probably won't come out on top but the jury is still out until anybody who wants a system can get one.

The only thing you can safely say at this point is that Microsoft's assumption that the Series S would be the mainline system and outsell the X in the UK was completely off target, they sold more Series X consoles despite the stock issues, the S has been in stock for months now and is always available; the consumer seems pretty on the ball with knowing what the S stands for.
The Series S is absolutely available and has been on several occasions since release.

It's available right now on Amazon.

I don't know how, but Sony is producing far more consoles than Microsoft. Where I live I haven't seen a single Series X listed for sale since it was launched. It's nothing but thousands of Series S consoles that no one really wants. I can easily buy a Playstation 5 (which I did) at any time from at least one of the five major online stores. Even Sony's website has both versions available 90% of the time.

Man I hate this take about gamepass. It's like saying netflix is anti consumer since you don't own the movies. Who goes and buys the DVDs to every movie they want to watch?
Majority of movies aren’t even hitting Netflix/Hulu day and date anymore of disc and let alone 30 days after. You’re paying rental prices on just about every movie now. Even when they do come it’s clear that they’ve exhausted every visible dollar out of it that streaming can’t hurt the bottom line anymore. Warner Brothers even pulled the plug on this idea for day and date movies next year.

Some of my favorite movies just aren’t available anywhere anymore to stream so I’ve been buying them to have because even the ones that are I have to sub to yet another service. At this point all these services are as high as the cable bills we were trying to avoid!

Hmmm

I don't know how to feel about a multibillion corporation that doesn't know i exist selling more of its products than another multibillion corporation that doesn't know i exist.

Fanboys, help me out!

I mean it's not surprising, PS5 is still feeding off PS4 momentum, that's all. It's really the only reason why PS5 is leading, mostly. I know not many will take this post serious, considering half of you only have love for "good guy" Sony.

I think it's mostly due to Sonys supply being higher. The wafer allocation does point to that being true.
