Very stable.

Latest PS5 Firmware Update Is Available to Download Right Now

Three guesses what version 21.02-04.03.00 does

So, how's it going? How are you? Ah, okay. Well, we can't provide a directly appropriate response, because we don't know how you've replied to our questions. What we can tell you is that we at Push Square Towers are doing great. Why? We'll tell you why: it's PlayStation 5 firmware update time.

Yes, Sony has graced us with another system software update for PS5. Version 21.02-04.03.00 comes in at 913.7 MB, and it's available to download to your console right now. We are blessed on this blustery, overcast Wednesday. So, what does the new PS5 firmware update do?

Why don't you take a wild, swinging guess what it does? We'll put the kettle on while you have a think.

What were we thinking? Making a cup of tea takes way longer than it takes for you to simply scroll down.

Yes, this latest firmware update "improves system performance", as you no doubt guessed.

If you did get it right, you win. What do you win? Well, normally we'd say you've won some biscuits, but frankly we can't commit to sending each of you a packet of custard creams. Pop onto Google and image search your favourite biscuits. Good choice.

What is your favourite biscuit, or cookie, if you're of an American persuasion? Get that PS5 firmware update sorted, and tell us all about your biscuit preferences in the comments section below.

Fix this Installation bug. Nobody wants to play PS4 versions on his PS5.

This is only when you insert PS4 blu rays right?
That happens with Ghost of Tsushima every time i insert the Blu Ray disc. I already got the PS5 version installed and the PS4 icon always comes up. I always have to delete it.
It's hilarious that after a year this is still a thing tbh, lmao.

I got no issues with digital-only games though.

I was legitimately thinking Bullet Club Bullet Club was asking me what my favourite biscuit was until I read the article. Kinda disappointed.

I'm glad I'm not the only one this happens to. It's just with Ghosts for me, I thought I was going crazy at first, lol.

Such a long article just for improved system performance ps5 firmware update.

Do they get paid per word or something ?
SEO (google) thinks you are more relevant if you write a lot of words on your pages... So people waste our time so that the AI loves them.

Have had my PS5 since March and I think I've only had two lockups so far. Not bad.
Oh it’s been much better after about the second update after launch. Right at launch there was some real nasty crashes but they fixed that pretty quick.

What an amazing effort from the engineering team with that very detailed update description. They went into every little detail. Incredible.

I was just thinking about something. Did you upgrade your base PS4 game to the full PS5 director's cut of your physical copy? That's what did it for me.
Final Fantasy VIIR I also did the free PS5 upgrade and I also have the physical version of the game. Same thing happens.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
What happens when you get an update? At a certain point you have to get to gaming, Sony has to hold a press conference and address all these updates mostly “upgrading performance” what? Sony is a large organization and you have to just release great games and help PS5 be the best console ever.

That's exactly what I did.

It was fixed earlier in the year but sony added the feature back in with a recent update. Hopefully they are working on reverting it.

Second time now my rest mode crashed because a system update came through.. I have to power it back on again and the update is waiting to download and install.

I realize it's annoying but it's just that (unless you had returnal paused lol).
For comparison, my PC recently started to do random hard reset when browsing.... Generally the times PS5 crashes is like 1% of pc crashes :p

Sony just seem to be adding stability in their system updates each month whereas Microsoft are adding worhwhile features, such as Dolby Vision. Hmm.
