"The game was announced for PlayStation 5 and PC earlier this year, with a dedicated Steam page already live for the title. The page doesn't share any new details on the project, but also couples with an unexpected appearance on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The title also looks set to support Xbox Live achievements and Xbox cloud saves, according to the listing (via IdleSloth84)."

"It's speculated that the game joins the Microsoft Store to maximize profits, with several past Square Enix titles also available via the PC storefront. The listing may also allude to intentions of bringing the game to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service on PC. Outriders, the latest project from Square Enix and People Can Fly, also saw a day-one debut on Xbox Game Pass earlier in 2021."

"Until we hear more details from Microsoft or Square Enix regarding the plausibility of an Xbox Game Pass launch, it's worth taking this news lightly, until we have official confirmation on its PC plans."

Does this mean square and xbox are in bed? Do you guys think Square will actually do day1 pc gamepass for the game?

Flase flag. Typical baited journal. I am ashamed I fell for it. It seems the game was already announced for MS store.

"Designed for the PlayStation®5 console (PS5™), Forspoken will harness the full power of the console and demonstrate Luminous Productions’ philosophy to provide a gaming experience like never before, fusing together the latest technology with creativity. The game is being developed simultaneously for the PS5 console and PC (via STEAM® Store, Microsoft Store and Epic Games Store) and is set for release in Spring 2022. This title is not yet rated by the ESRB."

First the steam thread now this? I'm going to have to spank you if you keep this up King

It was announced for PC. Forspoken is releasing on multiple PC storefronts. This is nothing news
The microsoft one wasnt on the plan.

Steam and epic is normal.

The MS store is very suspicious, because not alot of gamers buy from that store. It wouldnt make any sense from Square to put the game there, unless its for gamepass.

it is not exclusive if it goes out to pc, which seems to be the case.and it could also be a sign that at some point, when the exclusivity contract ends, it will come to Xbox.

Most if not all Square-Enix games are coming to PC eventually.
They're not going to lose the opportunity to get more money on the long run, it's Square-Enix we're talking about.

The game is a 24 month console exclusive. It was literally plastered all over the trailers lol

It was always going to be on PC.

Just goes to show absurdity of these timed console exclusives. This money would’ve been better spent on first party games.
The console timed makes a little bit sense, Since not every gamer likes to play on pc.

The one I hate the most is the ff7r type.

With no way to play it, aside of that console, it makes a shitty practice.

Its not absurd it adds value to the platform to get big 3rd party games. Especially now that sony doesn’t have bethesda rpgs

MS is kinda dead. I see no way pc gamers will want to buy on that store, considering the shit gamepass pc does.

the new Microsoft Store on Windows 11 (which will also come to Windows 10 in a few weeks) is actually pretty good. and soon you will be able to install your games to openly available folders as well like any other store front. also developers can now just distribute normal .exe files no weird UWP shit needed anymore.

I think the changes that will come out in the next few months at least catapults their store above Epic, Origin and Uplay. it already is better than those in terms of features like family share and user reviews.

yeah it'll obviously not sell gangbusters unlike Steam, but the improvements will be good, there will growing Xbox PC players due to game pass, and publishers get more % on MS Store don't they? So if it's being developed for Xbox makes no sense not to put it on Win store too

That isn't saying much.
