*yawn*....fuck off Ubisoft.

So when are we getting true next gen games taking full advantage of these new consoles?

The story premise, villain, his son, the protag, all sound boring and cliche - to put it kindly. I am pretty sure what we can expect gameplay wise. Not looking good so far.

I love Giancarlo, but I'm afraid that him being cast as a villain every fucking time is getting old.

I mean: Breaking Bad, Mandalorian, The Boys, Haryley Quinn (voicing Lex Luthor) and now Far Cry 6...

Can’t wait! Looking like another fantastic Far Cry experience, but with the best environment yet.

Will def check this out some day or watch a stream on Twitch. Interested in the story, but not necessarily interested enough to drop $60 and play it myself.

Some guys have villains face or voice, see the guy that makes Hannibal, or the one that makes inglorious bastards (first scene)

On topic, I always play far cry games, but the last one was the only that I didn't finish, game started out good but it just drags and the weapons are the same since far cry 3....

This one doesn't seem so different so I wait for reviews

Has this been graphically downgraded since the last showcase? The character models outside of the Castillo and his son characters look plasticky now

What I like about Ubi's open-worlds is that you know exactly what you're getting and they release so often that they fill the gaps between bigger and better releases.

It would be interesting to see them attempt to make a generation defining game though instead of churning out so many games that are similar mechanically.

Yeah, something’s not right. The previous videos looked pretty good, but this was underwhelming. Ubisoft back in the downgrading business?

Do you know the definition of insanity. It's to make the same game, over and over again, expecting sh*t to change.

Yep, I'm officially tired of this pandering to women and making them the face of every game reveal these days.
I think, again, this is a lose lose for devs. There's no way for the consumer to know the actual intentions behind the choice to have women as the main character/focus for each game. There's so much to break down there, and it's an impossible situation. Inclusivity, IMO, is good for games within a title if the choice to have a female (or non-white male) lead are for proper reasons and not just societal push and/or marketing or even possibly to help get more girls and women to want to play video games.

No matter what the reasons are, now, people will automatically decide that the reason to have non-white/male characters as the lead is because ____ reason. There is no winning that. To that end, I suppose, the only thing anyone can do is to decide for themselves whether to play a game or not based on how they feel. I, personally, have never been affected one way or another about the race or gender of the main character. Perhaps that's because of my physical attributes, race, upbringing and other factors. Who knows. I just know, for me, if the gameplay is good and the story is good, and it's a genre I like, I'll play.

I wasn't expecting this big of a downgrade. Shocking, but not entirely surprising as it's Ubisoft.

I like the actor playing the main villain. I usually enjoy Far Cry. Hoping this one will be good. I did enjoy the last one.

Why did I zone out watching this trailer?

Because it's boring as shit and feels like there have been a million trailers for this already. Game has a "been there done that" feeling before it's even out.

Can't get over how mediocre this game looks. What the fuck.

Giancarlo Esposito... don't worry, I had to Google that. I'm terrible with names. :) .. He's a damn good bad guy, .. especially considering, I read how much of a good guy he is.

Oh no, dont get me wrong. I'm all for having female characters in video games, option or as a main character.

I have no issues on that whatsoever and I've never been bothered playing any game with whatever gender, race, etc.

I'm only annoyed by how every video game trailer is now fronted by female characters no matter what.

It's like they're ashamed of having a Male character at the front, and I'm started to get annoyed by it after being totally accepting over it for many years.

But now it's so obvious and so nauseating where seeing a Male character at the forefront of a video game is so goddamn rare that it is neigh impossible to not believe that they're shoving it down your throat.

I liked it better when there were much more female characters like Laura Croft, Bloodrayne, Ellie, Samus Aran (and many more), existed in their own standalone games that allow them to shine on their own instead of constantly being shoved as an option as such these days is all.

These games have the worst writing out of any game ive played. Even more juvenile than destiny, and thats saying something! The radio DJ on FC5 was so bad I muted the whole dialogue of the game

2023 and 2024. Just like previous gen, its always a 2 year transition, I dunno why people keep asking same question when its been obvious for the last decade.

They've done such a good job with the series, I trust this one will be epic.

I'm down for any new Far Cry but man I can't wait to leave last gen behind.

I'm saying!

I wonder what they'll do with Far Cry 7.

I'm happy those series like Far Cry, AC, Watchdogs are open to be changed as much as they are so we get some different settings, time periods, locations, themes etc

Damn, the writing and characters are just terrible and completely uninspired. On top of that, the whole celebration and depiction of guerrilla and revolution as something "cool" feels stupid and inaccurate to how those things are like in real life, I mean, throughout history most revolutionaries have turned out to be as corrupt as the previous rulers one way or another. The new Saint's Row game has literally the same problem, depicting criminal activities and drug dealing as something cool and fun under a woke coat of paint, when in reality the criminal underworld is filled with cruel, broken fucked up people who certainly don't do what they do "for fun".

Fucking woke game writers, I cannot stand their shitty ass work anymore.

I'm looking forward to it. I don't care if I'm going to be doing the same stuff in game since Far Cry 3. I enjoy the loop. The only recent Far Cry game I didn't care for was New Dawn.

Knowing how they wrote the endings for the other far cry games, that's probably going to happen. probably going to be an "I'm i the baddy" moment. In the last far cry the villain was right all along.
Then again it's current year and ubisoft also wants to distract from the "boys club" report.

Geoff Keighley's Gamescom Opening Night Live show revealed the brand new Far Cry 6 Story Trailer that reveals that Anton Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito) is holding the nation of Yara hostage on the world stage thanks to the development of a cancer-treating drug named Viviro. Will the rebel group known as Libertad, led by Dani Rojas bring this tyrant down? Or will they become the monster they fear in the process?

IGN's very own Clint Gage is breaking down the trailer from a cinematic perspective, revealing story insights and how the arrangement of the trailer clues us in to more than what appears on the surface.

This is like the most mediocre thing you can get as a Christmas gift.

Farcry 3 was awesome though
