Oh you didn't know big companies lie all the time? Ah shame, how naive of you.

Now you're accusing them of manipulating stats.
This was fun. I cant believe you actually went there, but you did. :messenger_tears_of_joy: (y)
Yes, you said "can" but you know that's what you believe.. I'm done. lol

The data is there lol, it's dropping faster from the charts than original TLOU even though it has way more brand recognition and marketing. Biggest game Sony ever released and its disappearing from charts. It sold well early on because people were unaware it was so different to the original, but once the word spread, it dropped fast. You can stay in denial and ignore the facts though.

Lol, stay in denial. Last of Us 1 was third in its second month in July 2013 NPD and the second game is fourth while having way bigger brand recognition.

June:

1. The Last Of Us (PS3)** Sony (Corp)
2. Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) Nintendo
3. Minecraft (360) Microsoft (Corp)

July:
1. NCAA Football 14 (360,PS3)
2. Minecraft (360) Microsoft (Corp)
3. The Last Of Us (PS3)** Sony (Corp)

There was only one major release in July during the second month with NCAA Football 14

July 2020 NPD there were two. Paper Mario and Ghost of Tsushima.

Major releases are front loaded, so you're comparison is pretty bad when you look at it.

Never said it didn't sell well, but the drop off is huge when you consider that this is the biggest game Sony released this gen. Context is needed here. I also pointed out that the game was riding on the hype of the original and was always likely to sell very well, but the drop off has been massive if you look how poorly it fares compared to other Sony exclusives when it comes to player retention. People are already forgetting about it and hardly anyone is talking about it, something completely different to the original that was on everyone's lips for a while after release.

Just stop man, using your logic non of the games mentioned should have been successful. Nothing is "huge" about this drop off. Thats not usual considering the list of games that actually drop off like that. You are making a mountain out of a molehill here bud. Nothing is even remotely unique about what you are talking about considering the large number of games it actually happens to.

You just sound like you are desperately reaching.

"hardly anyone is talking about it"

You are right now :pie_raybans:

Shit you know MILLIONS of people and know for sure they are not talking about it? This site itself has several The Last Of Us 2 threads going bud, give me a break. For god sakes, thats like me fucking saying NO ONE is talking about Call Of Duty and bro did you see da drop offz, doom and or gloomz etc. When its breaking records, when it has several threads on the site, when people are making fucking PROFILE picks of the game on this site and still charting........its clear someone is thinking about it, talking about it and buying it.

So basically, if it breaks records, talk about the drop off.
If it charts the next month, the numbers must be fake.

Good luck with that.

"The data is there lol, it's dropping faster from the charts than original TLOU " Man you love talking about shit out of context..

The game is dropping faster because it had a HIGHER FUCKING PLACE TO FALL! It just moved 4 million in 3 days......

So lets say you have 2 games against each other and one of them drops in sales % by a larger amount (since you seem to only care about that 1 figure apparently)

Game A in 3 days sells 100k units, next month it moves 90k units. Drop off is about 10%
Game B in 3 days sells 100 million units, next month it moves 1 million units...drop off is 99%

Sounds like using dat Dinky logic means Game B failed BIG TIME. aka "The data is there lol, it's dropping faster from the charts than original" and or "Biggest game Sony ever released and its disappearing from charts." Maybe you should take in the context of theses figures bud. Actually READ how normal that drop is before reaching to such conclusions as what on earth are you going to saw when this title keeps on actually selling?

The Last Of Us 1 didn't just fucking stay on the charts at the very top for months bud, it just continued to sell..... you don't know that The Last Of Us 2 won't actually do the same considering its likely already at half of the last of us 1 sales in 2 fucking months, The Last Of Us 1 didn't move those units IN 2 FUCKING MONTHS!

CONTEXT bud. You seem to be in love with talking about the "drop" to latch on to anything negative and anytime someone talks about any solid figure, it must be fake and the must have lied, but that drop off MUST BE a huge clue and a sign of things to come (ignores GTAV's drop off).

It just sounds sad asf.
